Both the Asteroids Galaxy Tour and their song "The Golden Age" appear in a new 2011 Heineken ad titled "The Entrance". The Tour is not new to advertising; their song "Around the Bend" was used in a 2008 Apple iPod Touch ad. Like "Around the Bend", "The Golden Age" is a fun, energetic piece of electric indie pop, featuring a tinkling piano, jazzy drums, a baby-talking female vocalist reminiscent of Altered Images' Clare Grogan, a nice horn section, guitars, and quite a lot of funky stuff going on in the background.

The song's lyrics suit the grand entrance portrayed in the ad: "I wished I lived in the golden age/Giving it up on the Broadway stage/Hang with the rats and smoke cigars/Just have a break with Frank and count the stars." The catchy but indecipherable chorus is "Sing it out loud gonna get back honey/Sing it out loud get away with me/Sing it out loud on a trip back honey/Sing it out loud and let yourself free."

I first heard this song on the Heineken commercial on accident, because I rarely ever watch TV. After Googling "the Heineken song" I bought the MP3 on Amazon. I listen to this song every few days and it is like a little pick-me-up. Great voice, great melody, and great fun!
