Book Description

For golfers struggling to figure out how to improve their game, the answer might be a new diet rather than a new set of clubs. In his new book, THE GOLFER'S DIET, sportswriter Scott Kramer shares his expert knowledge of how nutrition can greatly affect a player's performance on the golf course. This how-to nutrition guide will help players learn in general terms what kinds of foods to eat before, during and after a round of golf to help achieve their peak performance. Kramer explains why the most popular food items at golf courses are often the worst ones for your golf game, and outlines what healthier choices to substitute in their place. PGA and LPGA Tour pros tell first-hand what they eat, when they eat it, and what foods they avoid to help take their game to the next level. After reading this book, players will know how to fuel their bodies, have more energy, less sluggishness, and fewer jitters throughout their golf round.

5.0 out of 5 stars Golf Is A Sport January 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is truly a win/win proposition because if you are in good shape you become a better golfer, plus you are in better health which means you can continue to play for years--and who wants to stop playing golf?

5.0 out of 5 stars diet to great golf December 21, 2011

Format:Kindle Edition
What a refreshing topic! There have been many books written on nutrition, but I don't ever recall seeing one specifically devoted to eating your way to better golf. Reading this book, I truly learned what I'm supposed to chow down, when I'm supposed to do it, and how it all affects my game. I actually can't wait to go out and try it all, to see if I can score and focus better through my next round. I'm somewhat into nutrition, but I never really thought about how my diet could actually help or hurt my golf game. The book also includes great quotes from PGA Tour pros who provide insight into a topic I haven't heard them talk about before. Great job, Mr. Kramer!
