Book Description

January 5, 2010

[Michele Lowrance’s] advice is healing and revolutionary. She is clear-headed and open-hearted.” —Julia Cameron, bestselling author of The Artist’s Way

The Good Karma Divorce is that rare guidebook that offers a concrete path to transforming painful experience into positive action. Family Judge Michele Lowrance, who experienced her parents’ divorce and two of her own, has developed what Karen Mathis, past president of the American Bar Association, describes as an “inspired and uplifting alternative to the agonizing divorce process.” Over the past four years, Judge Lowrance has seen literally one hundred percent of divorcing couples who applied the practices described in The Good Karma Divorce avoid trial. Firmly entrenched in real-world applicability, The Good Karma Divorce is a must-read not only for people in any phase of a divorce, but for psychologists, psychiatrists, attorneys, judges, and social workers, as well.

5.0 out of 5 stars GREAT - HIGHLY RECOMMEND "THE GOOD KARMA DIVORCE" January 5, 2010

WOW - what a refreshing way to look at divorce.
Lots of real workable advice, real-life examples, helpful checklists and no-nonsense tools.
I especially appreciate the line: "... there is no Right side in divorce. Like an eye for an eye, the only thing that happened in the end was that everyone was left with no eyes."
This will be THE guide I will give to all my friends having marital troubles.
Thank you. HIGHLY RECOMMEND "The Good Karma Divorce"

5.0 out of 5 stars FIVE STARS FOR THE GOOD KARMA DIVORCE!!! January 6, 2010
By Susan

This may well be the landmark book on surviving divorce with self-esteem and mental health intact. Judge Michele Lowrance offers practical help for the painful divorce process--and it appears to be useful information for not only during the divorce, but for long after. Her wise and compassionate attention to the safeguarding of children comes through with clarity and with sharp focus on the myth that children are resilient and will bounce back after divorce. I particularly enjoyed Judge Lowrance's audio version--she speaks with authority, humor and undisguised compassion for all who must experience the breakup of a marriage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally! January 7, 2010
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Finally, a process-oriented approach to one of life's most emotional experiences. Taking the drama and trauma out of divorce is a extraordinary feat and The Good Karma Divorce lays out the necessary roadwork to accomplish this. Loved the quotes scattered throughout the book, very thought provoking. The book is laid out in a very logical, easy to follow, easy to read style. I've decided to purchase The Good Karma Divorce for my sister, who seven years into her divorce, is still struggling with very bad karma!
