5.0 out of 5 stars The Gospel in Ten Words October 11, 2012
By JAB
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Reading The Ten Words of the Gospel, questions come to mind. 'Yes, but what about the verse that says ...' Then with a refreshing style, providing some chuckle moments through illustrations or a clever turn of phrase, Paul skilfully and succinctly addresses the questions as if he had heard you ask them.

Those who read Paul's regular Escape to Reality blog know that he is wary of institutional strictures on faith and the weight of performance that Christians place upon themselves and others. It is evident that Paul longs for all Christians to understand and live in the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The apostle Paul declared 'It is for freedom that you have been set free'. The author, Paul, urges all Christians to experience the reality of relationship with God rather than following a religion for God.

I was relieved to discover that Paul is not a Universalist, for he states clearly that although God's incredible grace is freely available to all mankind through the work of Jesus Christ and not though any human endeavour, grace rejected is salvation spurned.

The enduring question left with the reader may well be, 'How can I live in this freedom that grace allows and continue my loving commitment to a church that places unnecessary burdens on believers?' Whatever the answer, it will fall back on relationship rather than religion if we are to be true to the Good News of Jesus Christ.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Heart of God September 12, 2012
By keith
Format:Kindle Edition
An amazing book, that unlocks the heart of God, written by Paul Ellis, from his heart and in my humble opinion, under the unction of the Holy Spirit.

It is a MUST buy & an excellent gift, that will take a believer out of the shackles of religion into an intimate relationship with the Father.{Jn17:3}

For those that have questioned the Love of God and in fact even doubted His existance, spend a few $ and I guarantee that youre life will be changed.

This book is "alive" like our Lord Jesus Christ"

Religion shouts from the tree tops, "repent" but the Biblical meaning of repentance, is " to change your thinking" - thinking about what? - About Jesus. This book will set the record straight for you. Be blessed- Shalom.

5.0 out of 5 stars Crystal Clear New Covenant Good News! September 12, 2012
By Andre
Format:Kindle Edition
It's not everyday that someone writes about Grace as though they are actually living it. Sharing from his personal journey on the topic, Paul Ellis' book is jam packed with wit, eye popping revelation, crystal clear analogies, lots of laughs and leaves you feeling like you have just taken several huge gulps of the fresh air of freedom!

This is a very important book if you are on your way to understanding Grace, because it de-clutters the Bible very well. But it's an equally important book if you are someone who has already been established in Grace, because Paul always has an angle on things that nobody else has seen before!

It's a must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars 10 Words is Top 10 September 12, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is amazing! Not only does it belong in everyone's top 10 books you should own, as far as myself this is in my top 3! This is a book I will order dozens of to give away to people who need to understand the True Gospel of Grace. One thing I liked about this is it also explains the balance between Grace and Faith, which is important to understand. If you, like myself are on a journey to know and understand the true and simple Gospel, not bogged down & watered down with religion then get this book along with Cornel Marais "So you think your mind is renewed" and Ryan Rufus "Extra Virgin Grace" and you have my top 3 on Grace (Tie for 3rd is Rob Rufus "Invading the Impossible")
Be blessed in your reading.

I keep looking at these 10 words and smiling- loved, forgiven, saved, union, accepted, holy, righteous, died, new, royal.
Wow! That's me! That's you!

"What is the Gospel? It is the revelation of God's love through Jesus Christ. Whatever your need, your answer is found in Christ alone." Wow!

Need a dose of peace, happiness & security? This book is for you!

Having experienced both the best (still not good!) and the worst (don't ask!) that organized religion and the establish churches can offer, this book is like a breath of pure mountain air.

The Gospel is truly simple - simple enough for a young child to grasp and enjoy. Men have so complicated and added to this simple Message of God's Love and Grace for us that it is no longer recognizable. Thank you, Paul Ellis, for producing this excellent book. You are truly following in the footsteps of the great Apostle Paul.

I cannot recommend this book enough, especially if you are tired of the platitudes, rules and obligations that are thrust upon you every Sunday from the pulpit, which bear no resemblance to the pure Gospel of God's Grace, and you want to really know about God's amazing love for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Religous? You will be challenged! September 15, 2012
Format:Paperback
Paul Ellis hits the nail on the head just like Spurgeon! You will need to read this book to find out about that!

This book is written in plain, simple English; there is no flowery, theological gobble-de-gook! And everything is backed up with the Word rightly divided. Andrew Wommack says something like, 'You would need to get someone to help you mis-understand it.' Paul is a Christian believer who has been down the road of religion and in this book he is very honest about that journey and the pain that it causes. I have been on a similar journey but during the last five years I have been hearing all about the so called Grace Message. But basically the grace message is simply the Gospel; nothing more, nothing less.

If you are religous then I suggest that initially you will be deeply offended but I would encourage you to stick with this book. The scales of religion will be taken away and you will experience a relationship with God that you have never experienced before! All without programs or 7 steps to this or that!

I have read it just once but I will read it again as a study guide and will start to make notes so that I can answer honestly all the questions in The Epilogue.

I will make sure that my fellowship buys this book so that we have copies to give away to anyone who wants one. We will also pass them on to friends who are battling with religion. I believe this book is destined to become a modern day classic for the born again believer!
