The target audience for this book is American citizens who want to review some of the basics about American government and civics. However, I am using it to teach a citizenship class for audlts who want to become US citizens.
This book covers all the questions that are on the US government's citizenship exam. The thing I like best about it is that it provides the question, then the answer, then a brief history/background about each question. As a US citizen, I enjoy reading and refreshing the history. However, for citizenship candidates, the history may not be that interesting. My current student really just wants to know the questions and answers without all the background.
There aren't any exercises or practice exams in this book but it serves as a nice US government class review in an easy-to-follow, concise format for those who want a bit more substance to their citizenship exam prep.
