Kevin Clark has done an excellent job of capturing and explaining events during this critical time in our history. "Train Wreck" is an insightful tutorial on the markets and the forces that influence them. During the same time period, I kept an extensive journal but hadn't reviewed those entries until now. Kevin's encouragement to write my story in his margins drew me back to my journal. What an encouraging exercise from today's perspective to see how my dreams, hopes, anxieties, and challenges were all part of a much bigger picture. The most dramatic discovery was to see God's hand at work sometimes below the surface and at times visible, but always intimately active in my life and in the lives of my family and friends. The correlation of "Train Wreck" with my personal sojourn is an essential part of the legacy I leave my family.

I must admit that the years Kevin writes about are not fond memories for me. I couldn't help but recall where I was when the things Kevin wrote about were happening as I read his book. So, as painful as recalling tough times is, I thought Kevin did an outstanding job of recounting the journey through the "Great Recession". His writing format gives us a real-time week by week snapshot of the financial and political happenings during this challenging time in our countries history.
