Book Description

A shocking investigation revealing why greedy oil companies are lying to the American people.

At the end of World War II, U.S. intelligence agents confiscated thousands of Nazi documents on what was known as the “Fischer-Tropsch Process”—a series of equations developed by German chemists unlocking the secrets of how oil is formed. When the Nazis took power, Germany had resolved to develop enough synthetic oil to wage war successfully, even without abundant national oil reserves. For decades, these confiscated German documents remained largely ignored in a United States where petro-geologists and petro-chemists were convinced that oil was a “fossil fuel” created by ancient decaying biological debris.

Clearly, big U.S. oil companies had no financial interest in explaining to the American people that oil was a natural product made on a continual basis deep within the earth. If there were only so many fossils in geological time, there could only be so much oil. Big oil could then charge more for a finite, rapidly disappearing resource than for a natural, renewable, and probably inexhaustible one.

The Great Oil Conspiracy explains how Stalin at the end of World War II demanded his petro-geologists “dig deeper” when petro-scientists in the United States had determined that the Soviet Union, like Germany, lacked national oil reserves. Russia today has challenged Saudi Arabia for the lead in oil production and exportation. Once oil is understood as an abundantly available resource, there is no reason hydro-carbon fuels cannot indefinitely propel the development and production of cheap energy reserves the United States needs to maintain its dominant position in the emerging global economy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Informative November 27, 2012
Format:Hardcover
Dr. Corsi' book contains a wealth of information about the availability and production of oil. A major argument of Dr. Corsi is that oil does not derive from rotting plant life and dinosaur carcases from millions of years ago but is produced by the heat and pressure found inside the earth. He therefore supports the abiotic oil theory of Thomas Gold in his book The Deep Hot Biosphere : The Myth of Fossil Fuels. Thus the quantity of oil is not constrained by the amount of plants that rotted back in the earlier geological ages. Dr. Corsi marshalls a vast amount of information in support of the abiotic oil theory in his book.

The supporting evidence for the abiotic oil theory includes the German developed Fischer Tropsch process which is a process for producing synthetic gasoline and diesel fuel from coal. The United States government at the end of World War II obtained the documentation of this process, but the emphasis of this period became the utilization of the available below ground hydrocarbon resources. Thousands of pages of the proces remain untranslated in archives.

Dr. Corsi also provides information on the scientific experiments and other evidence confirming the abiotic oil theory. He discusses the evidence of Thomas Gold. But yet this evidence has been most often ignored. Instead the public has been bombarded with peak oil theories foretelling the exhaustion of oil supplies because the rotted early plant life is obviously finite. Yet over time these theories have turned out to be untrue. Dr. Corsi details how deep oil drilling and other innovations are producing more oil than ever.

Dr. Corsi then demonstrates the great superiority of drilling an producing hydrocarbon fuels over alternative energy wind and solar projects. He correctly rejects the global warming hoax of Al Gore and James Hansen.

Dr. Corsi writes well and clearly. He also provides extensive footnotes. However there are some valid criticisms of this work. There is no index which would be very useful in a work like this one. The work would greatly benefit from an appendix explaining much more thoroughly the Fischer Tropsch equations and process. A bibliography would also have been nice.

However, despite its deficiencies, this book is invaluable. The book is a great introduction and guide to the basics of hydrocarbon fuel production, and thus to worldwide peace and prosperity.

Yep. The cat's out of the bag now. Big thanks Dr. Corsi. As a kid I remember thumbing through my parents old Life magazines and Time/Life books and reading about how the Nazis managed to synthetically produce oil fuel from coal to power their war machine. This book delves into the history behind all that and convincingly shows that petroleum is abiotically produced from heat, pressure, and minerals within the planet. Dr. Corsi also gives a brief but comprehensive run down of current and past incompetent/corrupt energy policies both nationally and globally that stem from the false notion that petroleum is dead dinosaur juice. Unlimited, continuous, never ending supply of high BTU energy produced by Mother Earth herself. Now that's what I call Earth First!

(as an aside, and I'm sure Amazon hears this a lot, but please do a better job of transcribing these texts into e-book format. the typos and misinterpretations of the author's writings being put into e-text is kind of scary)

This is a very well documented, factual book. The information is of historical, scientific and political significance.Like so many myths such as global waeming, it is exemplary of the truism that if a myth is repeated enough it will be accepted as fact. The power of myth lives.

Brief. Concise but with all the pertinent info. You could make a stronger case for abiotic oil, but it would probably be lost on most people. Read more
