Personal Strategies to Boost Your Professional Potential.

From a man who defines success as meeting your full potential in whatever your chosen endeavor is, each and every day, comes the rare gem of a book that tells you just how to do that.  Mike Sprouse shares insights from a varied, but focused career about how to close the gap between being decent and being great. The Greatness Gap is not an outcome; it is a process, a mind-set and a way of life that is repeatable over and over.

Through personal reflection and life lessons learned, Sprouse helps each reader identify what they are good at, what they are passionate about, and most importantly, WHY.  The Greatness Gap clearly spells out the Ingredients, the Preparation, the Process, the Mind-set, and the Art of Every Day that are critical components to bridging the divide between what is just "ok" and what could be truly amazing.

Each chapter is punctuated by a "Coach's Challenge," essentially a call to action to evaluate and change your life (and your thinking), to better understand yourself and what motivates you, to unlock your passions and ultimately, your potential. Regardless of what walk of life you come from, it provides a thought-provoking and easy to understand formula with examples from Sprouse's own life, his good and bad decisions, and his professional path.

A portion of my gross proceeds from the sale of this book will be donated to Camp Erin. Camp Erin is a program of The Moyer Foundation and is the largest bereavement camp in the country for children and teens ages 6-17 who have experienced the death of someone close to them. With support from local communities and partners, Camp Erin is bringing hope and healing to children in cities nationwide. 2.0 out of 5 stars A decent story... only May 15, 2011

I own well over 50 motivational and inspirational books and this was one of the worst. The book was not "bad" however it was not educational, motivational or inspirational. If you would like to learn about the author and his life story this book is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars The coach I never had! February 23, 2011
Format:Paperback
I find this book to be so motivational. Unlike other books in it's realm "The Greatness Gap" makes you feel as though the author is truly guiding you every step of the way. I never had the opportunity to play team sports, but I had a few great coaches in my life and appreciate the feeling of having someone in your court. Being in the prime of my career I feel lucky to have found a personal coach through the written word!! If you are motivated but unsure what your next move should be I emplore you to pick up this book!!
