Editorial Reviews

Deluxe CD/DVD Edition includes bonus DVD. 2013 release from the New York rapper and producer, best known for his work with Non Phixion and La Coka Nostra. Tangential and biographic, the album sees Bill addressing the formative touchstones of his life, offering "what-ifs" and describing historical events, many gruesome, that shaped the suspicious, futurist, political, analytical persona he's been putting on wax for the better part of three decades. Here he effortlessly enlists a reverent squad of super-notable collaborators, who not only sign their approval but round out a grand Boom-Bap vision sonically and thematically. Featuring A-Track, H.R., Shabazz The Disciple, Lil Fame, El-P, Jedi Mind Tricks and others.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best LP of 2013 so far! March 4, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
After seeing Ill Bill in person over the winter (on tour with Vinnie Paz) i became an even bigger fan...Vinnie Paz was under the weather and BARELY had any voice left...rather than cancel the show the came out and PERFORMED...yes Vinnie sounded like s***...but it was real and it was painful. Knowing that his tour partner was having troubles ILL Bill did most of the heavy lifting...and yes it was heavy! If you are not familiar ILL Bill is one of the most intense Spitters of all time...this Album is truly a view into how good his music can be. DJ Premier,Pete Rock,Psycho Les,Large Professor,DJ Muggs,EL-P,C-Lance,ILL Bill & More handle the Production (which is Top Shelf from start to finish as well as cohesive) ...other names i didn't recognize produced remaining tracks with no lul or drop off EVERY track bangs and before you know it track 1 is playing again. A great play thru experience and BANG!!! a DVD with 6 full length high quality videos and incredible A+ packaging with 3d raised letters(ILL BILL The Grimy Awards on front as well as cool grammy looking award inside)...lengthy booklet with lyrics. Rap fans Buy this you will not be dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars MY FAVORITE EMCEE STRIKES AGAIN.. June 27, 2013
Format:Audio CD
Let me start by saying Ill Bill is my favorite rapper in the game i have a top 5 and Ill Bill is #1#2Sean Price#3Kool G Rap#4Jus Allah#5 Scarface. As you can see thats a tough list to be # one at!
Ill Bill never lets me down he is so consistent and just almost surreal with his multisylabic flow, nasty intelligent lyrical content and his producers/featured artists I like this album more than Masters Of The Dark Arts(La Coka Nostra) Bill's group which is a total banger but he just murders it without any features from slaine,Everlast,or production from DJ Lethal and it's still his second best album to date the only one that go's harder is the masterpiece Kill Devil Hills when Muggs did all the production. He gets very personal on this album and like always pulls no punches and nothing is sacred and the album just kicks off with a bang with the track Paul Baloff produced by Moss and it's just Bill spittin bars for almost 3 minutes straight,no hook/chorus his skill level is equal to Kool G Rap and Gza if they were combined with his grimy, sick, drug laced lyrics but a ton of smart political analyzing the world and it goes on throughout the album then in the middle of the album it starts gettin really sick Vio-lence featuring Shabazz the Disciple and other half of one of my favorite groups Lil Fame(M.O.P) is damn near my favorite track with a dope beat from DJ Skizz,Acid Reflux is insane produced by Large Professer,L:Amour East featuring one of Bill regular partners in rhyme the sick ass Q-Unique and Mayhem Lauren produced by Ayatollah and yea this album is the dopest album of 2013 I didn't think there was gonna be an album that was gonna beat welcome to the goondox)PMD,Sean Strange)produced entirely by The Snowgoons but then the best emcee out came along and killed it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Only thing that would have made this better is if... March 15, 2013
Format:Audio CD|Verified Purchase
The only thing that would have made this album better is Necro producing a track or two. Otherwise this is the best album Bill has put out to date. Production from Premier, Pete Rock, and Large Professor does not hurt a bit either. Bill is crazy with the rhymes and the guests come through also.

5.0 out of 5 stars Again and Again! May 15, 2013
Format:Audio CD
Super thorough LP by one of the hardest working MCs still doing it. Production is on point and Bill proves once again that he doesn't have to prove anything to anybody. True vets shine all over this record = Preemo, Pete Rock, Extra P, Psycho Les, Muggs, Ayatollah???!!! It's the best LP out to date and if you know the deal, you'd cop the vinyl which is pressed blue and includes a DVD of videos and a download card. Support real music NOW!
