More About the Author

Get RJ's latest novel, THE TEACHERS, in print, Kindle or Nook formats! Visit www.RJArcherBooks.com for more information.

R.J. Archer is a mystery/adventure author, a freelance writer and a retired computer consultant who called the Pacific Northwest home for 39 years. The author and his wife, Marty, currently reside on the shores of the Sea of Cortez near the southern end of Mexico's Baja Peninsula.

His fiction work includes two multi-book series. The Seeds of Civilization series is a trilogy loosely based on the theory that one or more advanced civilizations existed on earth long before the Mesopotamians built their first mud huts. Each Seeds novel is built around a different - but very real - unsolved archaeological mystery.

His second series, called Parallel Ops, spans four novels and takes the theory of ancient civilizations to a whole new level. The first three books (The Scientists, The Informants & The Guardians) take place during the exact same time period and may be read in parallel, the way they were written, or in the more traditional serial manner. The fourth and last book in the series (The Teachers) follows the first three chronologically and should be read last.

His non-fiction works include TheMegaBlog.com, an online chronicle of underwater archaeology activities in the Caribbean, where evidence of a REAL ancient civilization has already been confirmed.

Mr. Archer holds a Bachelor of Science degree with dual majors in Physics and Mathematics and he is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. His interests include ancient civilizations, inner and outer space and conspiracy theories of all kinds.

All of R.J. Archer's books are enjoyable, fast paced, and easy to read. There are enough details about locations, anthropology, and current events that one forgets it is science fiction. I especially appreciate the lack of profanity and graphic, gratuitous sex, making these stories suitable for a wide audience.

Contrary to the Seeds of Civilization series, the Parallel Ops series can be read in any order or concurrently, but the Seeds of Civilization series should be read first for context.

I just completed reading The Guardians by R.J. Archer and I have to say hands down that this was the best one yet from the Parallel Ops series. It was straight action from beginning to end and once again left you waiting with eager anticipation to find out what happens next. It was very well written and had me captivated until the last word literally. The story continues from Tony Nicoletti's point of view, taking you through the streets of Belize to a fantastic voyage across the ocean to the Virgin Islands. Underwater adventures and mysteries abound as you get ever closer to the conclusion to this unique series.R.J. is the first I know of to write a series that weaves itself together as you are reading them, bringing the different stories together into one cohesive plot. it keeps you wondering whats next, and how the other story will tie in. This was a great and well written book.
