Great book from the 'Prue' years,
By
This review is from: The Gypsy Enchantment (Paperback)
I am glad I got this book to complete my collection, because when I read it, it made me wistful for the years that Prue was part of the 'power of three'... There are people who liked her or not, but I think I definitely liked her, and I like Paige just as much, both are totally different and have very different attributes to contribute! In 'The Gypsy Enchantment' Prue falls for a really handsome Gypsy Violinist, who is apparently cursed... The sisters try and find out what the deal is when innocents are threatened, although Prue is the only one who starts off thinking the Gypsy is innocent! Definitely worth buying this book, and reading it! But then again, I'm biased arent I?

This was the first Charmed book i read and i admit it's this book that got me into the Charmed world. It starts with Prue gettin an assignment for a carnival so Piper and Pheobe go and they love it!!But then Pheobe gets a vision of Piper being strangled by a handsome stranger. The obvious culprit is Ivan a gorgous violen player. But Prue cant understand it Ivan is charming, handsom and wuldnt do nething like that. The charmed ones have to solve this mystery but how?when the person they need to fight is the person who might strangle Piper i very good book i wuld recommend it to any charmed fan

This review is from: The Gypsy Enchantment (Paperback)
this book starts out with prue taking a series of shots of a circus for the 415 magazine. prue hates circuses and clowns in particular but piper and pheobe are all excited and ready to go check out the action(especially buff male circus performers). prue meets ivan who has an unusual gift of violin playing where he mesmerizes the animals in his act along with the audience. it also helps that he is extremely gorgeous to boot. but when phoebe has a premonition of piper being strangled by a handsome stranger, the chamred ones start an investigation tht leads them into the dark side of gypsy magic, could ivan be the man strangling piper? tune in to see the exciting conclusion of this one.

Gypsy Enchantment,
By A Customer
This review is from: Gypsy Enchantment
Gypsy Enchantment is a good book. Not exactly great and has only one plot twist that you could not even guess. There's a thing about circuses that makes Prue hate them and she is very disapointed when she is assigned to photograph the event. So sad that she didn't even put up a decent fight when Piper and Phoebe wanted to tag along. Well surprise, surprise! It's Prue's turn to fall in love with a gypsy violinist that can tame the wildest creature with his music. But there is a strange rumor circulating the circus about Ivan, the violinist. He is cursed. And when Phoebe gets a bad preminition about him they freak. Who is the bad guy? It's so surreal!

The Gypsy's enchantment had me spellbound!!! ....,
This review is from: The Gypsy Enchantment (Paperback)
...no, I'm not kidding!! This book was a real page-turner, you HAVE to find out what's happening next! Filled with mystery, suspense, twists, the plot was gripping and intriguing enough for a good Charmed read, filled with Gypsy lore.Basically, the story circles around Prue; she has a photo assignment (for 415) regarding a circus and its performers. She meets a handsome Gypsy violinist, named Ivan, who seems to be under loads of "bad luck", according to several of his colleagues, and Olga, the fortune-teller (and fellow Gypsy) seems to think he's under a "curse". Ivan, doesn't believe in all this Gypsy-magic wiles, but the Charmed Ones are drawn to many revelations (magic-wise) that there is SOMETHING up with Ivan and that wierd old violin of his.... related to the magic of ancient Gypsy beliefs and forces... Though the ending was practically anticlimactic, the part where Sacha and Olga's supernatural disappearance, to the rest of the circus' crew was never mentioned how it happened. Also, details of Miranda's death was not explained satisfactorily. Other than that, I enjoyed it alot, a good read overall.

A Must-Read Spell That Works,
By Petra Waser (Switzerland) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Gypsy Enchantment (Paperback)
Curiously I started reading, being a fan of the tv series, I did not know what to expect. Once I started I couldn't put the book down. It was like the Halliwells had put a "must read" spell on me! And when I was done I sort of wished they'd make a movie out of this story just so I could see it after reading the book.

not the best,
This review is from: The Gypsy Enchantment (Paperback)
this is not the best charmed book as i found it a bit dull and predictable in places but if you are a major charmed fan it's still good to read as it links in more with the series than previous books

Prue's a photographer for 415 magazine. She and a reporter, Kristen, have to do a story about the circus. Piper and Phoebe tag along. They meet Ivan, a gypsy animal trainer, and after Phoebe has a vision of Piper being strangled by him, the girls start snooping to find out whether or not Ivan is a demon. A mysterious fire and a tragic death have "The Charmed Ones" using their powers against the ancient Gypsy forces.
