5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth the effort February 28, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I've read the previous book by this author, and I can say he has thought long and hard about the themes, and the insights are presented in a coherent and logical framework. Not only is it very readable, it is compelling and thought-provoking. There are many details to keep you thinking, but the big picture that they gradually build is more than the sum of its parts.

The author has come up with easy to follow examples that actually help you in reflecting on your own life. If you take his advice to heart, and keep working at this, you will reap benefits that justify the effort.

Highly recommended reading for anyone interested in life as something you can actually affect.

I so enjoyed reading Tim Pond's "The Happiness Hop". Tim has a very insightful, entertaining and compelling way of posing the most important Life, Purpose and Happiness questions - deep and profound questions that challenge you to see and feel with increasing clarity.

This book follows the journey of an ordinary everyday person at a critical time in his life and his encounters and ongoing dialogue with a superior being over separate consecutive milestone occasions on the growing path to Awareness and Enlightenment.

Cleverly told in a non-fictional combined with fictional writing style, this book delivers imagination-capturing story-telling together with essential Self Improvement messages encapsulated in the 3 Insights Formula to True Happiness.

Timely historical references are used and interspersed also with modern day pop culture examples, which makes it very today relevant.

This book gives timely advice on how to deal with the superficiality of our external world in the impossible quickening, information bombardment, and impractical popular cultural standards imposed on us to meet up to today. The challenge is posed to choose to get out of all of that, get some respite, and get back in touch with our inner self.

"Cracking the code" to Happiness is explored with great insight, together with the perplexing question of why so many people struggle to be Happy, yet others breakthrough with ease.

Honestly, I didn't want to put the book down. It draws you in to continue wanting to know what more Life lessons and messages will be revealed and learned, and how the unfolding story will conclude.

A charming anatomy of Happiness I highly recommend. Gets my double thumbs up!

5.0 out of 5 stars If you're looking for more purpose in your life. March 8, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
It was not a surprise that this book gave me dozens of new thoughts to think of. To me books that really help you to change your everyday behaviors truly matters. Pond's writing style mixing up fictional and non-fictional styles works very well to creating the book easy to read. I'm also glad having a book that I can read all over again and still get some fresh things to think of.

It’s been a couple of years since I first read this book. Back then I felt that it was a really good book because it made me want to be a better person. Recently, I rediscovered the book and read parts of it again. The reason why I am writing this review now is that I realized that this book has been an important motivator that has contributed to my self-discovery process. There have been amazing developments in my life in the recent years. I feel a genuine connection with the world and have become increasingly aware of how my actions -- however small -- shape the world.

In the book, the author puts forward the idea “Don’t look for happiness. Look for purpose”. I think it sums up very well what the book -- and life -- is about. The book’s protagonist is told to perform various tasks that involve thinking through some of life’s big questions. If the reader takes some time to perform these tasks carefully in his/her own life, I believe this can greatly enhance the reading experience and make the book’s message even more accessible.

My sincere thanks to the author for this insightful work.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing finish July 30, 2013

I was really enjoying the book, I could not put it down. It has good insight into finding yourself. But about 3/4 way through the author brought up global warming, carbon dioxide pollution, ecological footprint. It totally lost me. Makes me question the other information this guy was feeding me. Not bad reading if you can stomach the bs about the environment.
