This cookbook reduced me to tears. Nearly every non-breakfast recipe calls for cooked onions, cumin, aged cheeses, or other "Try It" foods as a major flavor ingredient. IC patients who can tolerate "Try It" foods, however, have an incredibly broad range of recipe choices from even general cookbooks. Those of us who are limited to the "Generally Safe" category are left out in this cookbook and are reduced to the obvious: starches, basic proteins, and roast vegetables. So I feel that the author has given a very misleading statement in saying her recipes are drawn from the 2009 diet guidelines - they are, but only for those with mild IC or food sensitivity to only the worst items - this should have been clear up front. It's incredibly frustrating for those of us with more severe disease who are desperately looking for dietary resources, and in my case, have wasted another $10 trying to improve my quality of life.

Wonderful Cook Book January 15, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
This cookbook has an amazing range of recipes that accomodate people from mild to severe diet sensitivity. But having made a few of the recipes already, I was impressed with how delicious and high quality they are. They are real recipes, not just "IC" ones, that I can feed to my family without apology. I especially liked the Greek Pizza.

Great cookbook with a lot of recipes, including recipes from world cuisines that are hard to order out in a restaurant, like Paella, pizza, Asian clay pot, etc, which was fun. I haven't tried the ice cream section because I don't have an ice cream maker, but the Butterscotch Blondies were a big hit and super easy. The salad dressing section is also very useful.
