Customer Questions & Answers

Customer Reviews

It's a little complicated for younger kids to put together.
Terrica Flowers
For one thing, you need to have lots of furniture with wooden parts for the velcro to hook around---it doesn't work on knobs of drawers or upholstered chair arms.
Amanda O'Briant
My girls had a hard time with it, but they did come up with a way to use it.

If you're looking for a complicated, frustrating way to build a fort or some sort of place for you kids, this is your product. In theory, it sounds great--really. In the pictures, it looks so easy! Just line up the corresponding Velcro tabs and viola! a fort.

It's possible I'm a dunce but we've tried using this many times and it's not only time consuming to hook everything together (Velcro is awesome until you have a million little tabs to unhook, untangle, and that get hooked all over *all* the tabs, not just the ones you *want* to connect) but so often it's like a magic trick to figure out which way to place the panels to be sure you're going to have them the right way for the tabs to line up. So while you're trying to be sure you have the panel facing the correct way, all those Velcro tabs keep catching meaning you then have to *unhook* all those tabs, try to line them up, they get caught, rinse and repeat.

Often, when we get to a corner, there's a gap (unlike what I'm seeing in the picture) because there aren't always tabs *at* the corners, or the corner tabs don't line up correctly.

Again, in theory, it's a great idea. But implementing it for me just leaves me irritated and that's too bad because I'd so looked forward to this when we'd initially ordered it.

On a side note, their customer service is okay. Our first set came at Christmas time and I was quite perplexed when I took it out of the box because all the panels had only the soft Velcro side, not the side with hooks. Thinking I was unbelievably dumb or something (after watching the Youtube videos and seeing how it went together) I contacted them, asking if I were some kind of moron. Turns out they'd had manufacturing problem and sent out a shipment with a design flaw.

I bought this for my 5 year old grandson. His father fashioned it on top of swing, slide, fort set to make the fort even bigger. He loves it and Dad also plans to use it when he makes a tree fort for his sons.

I really like the concept, but it is hard to put together for younger kids. My girls had a hard time with it, but they did come up with a way to use it. My son has a bunk bed and always wants sheets up to hide himself. This product worked great as a tent for his bed! It covers the areas he wants and looks so much better then sheets hanging up. I think for the money, more should come with it - possibly an idea book. You really have to have an adults help because it is a little difficult for younger kids.

My kids loved these connectables. They made reading nooks for themselves in the basement. The only thing they (and I) would change is the fact that you can't connect them to a wall. I'm still pulling tape off of my walls! Other than that small detail, my kids love this product!

We had a blast with this toy. My daughter is 26 months and she really enjoyed it! My son is 8 months old and he liked it too... He like to crawl in and out of the fort! My husband had to help me set it up though! Jamie Ware
