Is it possible to get pregnant in a dream?
Felicitas has only one thing on her mind. How could she be pregnant when she is still a virgin? Despite her possessive boyfriend's, constant pleading she has never had sex. In fact the only time she has ever experienced the intimate act was in a recent dream and it wasn't with her boyfriend Ian, but, with the alluring Raine Zadock who continues to show up in her sleep.
She decides to keep the news of her pregnancy to herself knowing she can't tell her controlling father, the town's most prominent Baptist minister.  He doesn't believe in delving into the paranormal and even though he professes strong faith she knows he will never believe her story.
Felicitas vanishes one evening while on a hayride with her friends.  News of her pregnancy surfaces along with a cryptic Nocturnal Journal found hidden in her bedroom during the search to find her. The journal cast an accusing finger on a secretive stranger.
A week later she is found roaming the woods confused and unaware as to where she has spent the past seven days. Upon returning she faces the wrath of her boyfriend, an angry detective and her father, none of whom believe her story of getting pregnant in a dream.
Desperate to teach her a lesson, her father plans on sending her to County Mental Health.  Terrified, she runs away and encounters a mystifying stranger who helps her elude the authorities pursuing her. He gives her a message that leads her to her estranged grandmother Rosie who eagerly takes her in.  With her help she traces her roots back ten generations and makes a startling discovery that someone very close to her is not who they seem.

I really loved the idea/plot/characters, however...

The sentences run on, and on, and on. There were several typos as well. I normally overlook these, especially since the book is free. I just wish the author had taken this novel to a professional editor. If it had been easier to read, I would have purchased the second novel just to see what happens next. As it is, I had to push myself to finish (at least the plot and characters worked enough to keep me reading until the end).

If the book went through a serious editing pass, I would be happy to give The Haret a 4 or 5.

It's worth a read, if you can make it past the unwieldy sentences.

After reading the secrets of moonshine, I could not wait to get my hands on another book by the lovely, phenomenally talented Denise Parton..

The Haret has not left me disappointed, I finished it within 2 days because I could not bare the thought of putting it down. Denise don't leave us hanging with the 2nd piece ;) because I never want it to end, immediately I am swept away in her reads, the suspense and mystery plus a side of romance will leave you on the edge of your seat, thank you Denise for allowing us into the creative world that you've created!!

After reading the Moonshine series, I had really high expectations for this book. I must say I was not disappointed. It was very engaging from the beginning, and the more I read the harder it was to put down. I must say that Denise Daisy has made it to my list of favorite authors.

My only complaint is that the next book is not out yet - and best I can tell, I have to wait until the end of the year. Ugh!!

The Haret was a nice change from the usual fiction/paranormal books I've read. The plot was interesting, and I loved that I was genuinely surprised with happenings along the way. Definitely would recommend to friends as a "to-read" book.

That aside, the book is slow and boring at times. I found myself skimming past several parts, in hopes of getting back on track. Additionally, there are far too many grammatical and punctual errors throughout the book. Run on sentences, lack of a comma, and several misspellings, such as "your", instead of "you're". The "your" one really bugged me. Granted, that's one of my pet peeves, but the author should have caught that while writing the book, if not have her editor do so. Although I don't think for one second this book was edited, or at least properly. And I know, it WAS only $.99, but I've read many other books at the same price that have been properly edited. The book would have been even better, with less grammatical/punctual mistakes.

The ending of this book was annoying for me, as no sooner did it start to get juicy ;) it ends. The epilogue is confusing to me, and so brief, it seemed unnecessary. Overall though, I would buy again, recommend, and buy the next installment. I definitely think this author has great potential, and look forward to the next book in The Haret Series.

Wow....this book was great! I didn't like the Moonshine book the author had written previously. But this book just blew me away. I got this book free and wasn't expecting much, but I couldn't put the book down!

I love how you get a lot of different characters POV instead of just the main characters. Felicitas has been dreaming of Raine, she dreams they marry and make love. She finds out shes pregnant but has never had sex outside her dreams. She also has a boyfriend Ian whom she adores. She goes missing for a week with no recollection of where shes been. This book had so many twists and turns that I didn't know who the "bad guy" was until the author let on.

This is a book with romance, parallel worlds, action, evil dragon shifters and so much more! I am impatiently waiting the next book!!!!

This author tends to write series, however she doesn't complete them or leaves far too long between books. This is book one in what has to be a new series and I had left it on my kindle for a while before reading it. There is no sign or mention of another book or that it is actually a series. However it can't be a stand alone as it isn't finished. I find it annoying. If you begin to write a series you must complete it before writing something else. I will not read more until I find a complete series by her. It is not worth it. Her ideas are not bad and I loved the unfinished Moonshine series (just wish she'd finish it).

Denise Daisy has a talent for weaving remarkable tales of dimensional and time travel. I felt the strongest character was Esther and had a hard time liking Felicitas. She grew on my by the end, and I am now anxious for book two. I hope to see more of Reed, as his involvement in the story captivated me. I also love Grant and I'm hoping he will get to see some romance in the sequel. Overall this is a fun read.
