Book Description

Injuries are healed. Alliances are formed. Love is discovered. Betrayal is revealed.

Her hands burned with the intensity of the searing white heat. She wanted to stop so the pain would too, but she knew she couldn’t. Not until the healing was complete. Only his voice soothed her even as the fire reached its peak. Only he could guide her to her destiny and protect her from the evil coming for her power. Eighteen year old, Jacey Brindle didn’t understand how or why her hands could heal. She just knew that they could. It was a power that Varick could teach her to use.

As Varick teaches Jacey to use her power, the evil Fury hunts her in the same way it has hunted the Healers before her. The more she heals, the more at risk she becomes. Jacey must face her destiny to help others even if it means risking her own life. But when the Fury focuses on Jacey’s beloved Oma as a means to get to her, the risk becomes too great and even Varick can’t keep her safe. As her assigned Protector, Varick will do whatever it takes to protect Jacey, even enlisting the help of another Protector, Asim. As the bond of Healer and Protector between Jacey and Varick strengthen so does their attraction to each other until it threatens to destroy them both. And Jacey will discover that her real power isn’t held in her hands, but rather in the strength of her heart.

This is an amazing story that keeps you reading, never a boring part. This is my favorite genre of book to read and I was not disappointed at all. I love the relationship between the two main characters, I have never read a story like theirs. Cannot wait for the second book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing January 6, 2013
By Marcia
Format:Kindle Edition
What an amazing read! A hero and heroine with supernatural abilities, an evil villain bent on destruction, a cast of supporting characters that enhance the story, a gorgeous setting, and an actual love story (not a sex story) that begs the question can a girl really love two men at the same time!? The stories are so intimately entwined throughout the book that you can't tell if it is a fantasy story with a love triangle OR a love story with a fantasy angle. I can't wait to read the next book!

5.0 out of 5 stars refreshing February 11, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Not your standard paranormal by any means. I refreshingly take on heralers with a wonderful setting, great character development. It's a real page Turner with romance, not steamy screens. Every age group will enjoy this book. I'm looking forward to the next book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delightfully Surprised! February 11, 2013
By Alina
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is so well written! I was delightfully surprised at how drawn into the story I became, as this is not the usual genre I typically read. However, I was captivated by the characters and how they interacted with one another. A very good story to get lost in! It left me wanting when all was finished and I cannot wait for book #2!
