The opposite of forgiveness is bitterness and anger. Those who anger us control us, and this book offers freedom from that control. Forgiveness clears the heart of anger, vengance, bitterness and hatred - it offers a very liberating, and renewing, experience. Pastor Pritchard touches every heartstring with healing, hope and comfort. I bought the book to share with someone after reading(I don't like to recommend an unknown), and it not only confirmed what I'd thought I already knew about forgiving others, it brought new horizons on what we expect from others who need to forgive us, and how to receive that forgiveness without the expectations. If you or someone you know has a dysfunctional relationship that needs healing or you would like to break the chains of anger, bitterness or an unforgiving spirit this is the perfect tool.

Highly recommended.

We read and discussed this book in my Bible study group. Describing what forgiveness is and what it is not, the book helped several of us to forgive others who had wronged us. I recommend it highly for individual or group reading and study.

This is a very good book that a lot of people need. I have known a lot of Christians who could stand to read this book once a year for the rest of their lives. This is basic stuff on forgiveness that every Christian should master and practice.

The author writes very well, and it is very easy to read. Would make an excellent devotional for your daily quiet time. Get this one for sure, you won't be disappointed.

Many of what Ray had to say here touched me to the core. I will continue to struggle, but with it on my kindle account, I have it for a ready reference. Very practical and easy to understand and hopefully apply.

Going through a divorce is not something anyone should have to endure, for those who were left its even harder as you usually are blindsided and in many cases have to see the love of your life throw you away for someone else whether it be a coworker, friend etc.. From that much anger and hurt are generated at least that's so in my case. This book reminded me to keep track of what is really important and that forgiveness is required for yourself and that any judgement or revenge for any wrongs you feel is owed is not for us to decide.

This is great book that has for me brought peace and understanding. Its not a read it and you will feel better book but if you read it you will see clearly that the hard work of forgiveness will in the end be a requirement for any future happiness
