Dr. Wilco Hermans was born in 1963 in a small town in the Netherlands. He started at a young age to put food together in a creative way to please his parents. He was destined to follow the food path. After a brief career in creative hairstyling, as was encouraged by his parents, he decided instead to go and study the food arts in the school for 'whole foods culinary chef' in San Francisco USA. He became later on the Vegetarian/Vegan chef in various health/Yoga retreats. He seemed settled in Costa Rica when the calling came to study nutrition as he started to observe the damaging effects of heating foods and the necessary adding of salts and spices to make these dishes palatable.
After many years of study and frustration as he found many contradicting philosophies as in what brings true health, he found the raw path. he decided to follow a intensive study for his final degree as a Ph.D in Natural diet and lifestyle.
As he still was drawn by the creative side of food sculpting he also continued the preparing of dishes, but this time the more healthier option of putting life-foods together for real nutrition.
After over 20 years of searching for the truth concerning health and well-being he decide to write books to help him spread the word to what brings true health. He has two more books in the making and will continue to inspire other people to start eating for better health instead for the purpose of pleasing the palate.
