About the Author

Rachael Freed was herself a "cardiac spouse", and is a licensed therapist and social worker. She is a regular speaker at cardiac seminars and symposia nationwide. She lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

More About the Author

Rachael Freed, founder of Life-Legacies, is a Senior Fellow at the University of Minnesota's Center for Spirituality and Healing, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and emeritus Marriage and Family Therapist. An inspirational lecturer and practical workshop facilitator, she provides legacy programs for religious, philanthropic, and health care organizations, for public and non-profit corporations, and for diverse groups of individuals experiencing life transitions.

Her work, transformed from the ancient ethical will, is explained on her website: Life-Legacies.com Her writing about Legacy appears regularly on The Huffington Post-Living, DrWeil.com, and LegacyConnect.com. She is the author of Women's Lives, Women's Legacies, Passing Your Beliefs and Blessings to Future Generations and The Legacy Workbook for the Busy Woman: A Step-by-Step Guide for Writing a Spiritual-Ethical Will in 2 Hours or Less. Freed also writes a monthly subscription e-offering, Legacy Tips&Tools, and is currently working on a new book: Your Legacy Matters: Harvesting the Love and Lessons of Your Life: An Intergenerational Guide for Creating Your Ethical Will.

Her volunteer activities include serving in the US Peace Corps for two years in Tunisia, reading for the Minnesota Society for the Blind for 15 years, and chairing adult education and community legacy at Temple Israel, Minneapolis.
