5.0 out of 5 stars The news, fresh from Scotland April 11, 2013

I have been reading the (Glasgow) herald for about three months now. I like it because it presents a refreshing viewpoint from the north of the U.K., including many items and discussions in Scotland that are not generaly reported in other U.K. papers. It also presents good reports of world news, without the fanfare of some newspapers. The Scottish people will soon be voting on wheather to separate themselves fron the U.K. politically. It is interesting to see some of the measures they have already effected, and ones that they are planning.

I highly recommend the Herald for those with intersts in Scotland, or the general European and global news.

Before traveling to the Scottish Highlands I thought I would get in touch with the local news. I discovered a world class newspaper in the old time style of real reporting on issues. I was happy to see much more in depth treatment of world issues, US news and politics, plus a wide ranginging selection of subjects of interest and import. So much content compared to what I have been reading. They must have a large number of reporters and other sources. Try the trial offer and if you are not impressed cancel. It is a no lose deal.

4.0 out of 5 stars Herald and Sunday Herald May 22, 2014

For the most part, this is a good web site. It is a priceless source of information for anyone who is generally interested in what is going on in Scotland these days and particularly so for those who want to follow the campaign for independence, i.e., the "indyref." Iain MacWhirter and Ian Bell are two especially good commentators.
