I read this book to my small children, 4,6, and7, and they loved it. They actually took them to school to show their teachers. There are very few books on a child's level that help with "bullying", even thou the problem is so huge. This book was done in a fun fashion, and encouraged my kids to ask questions. I recommend this book to any parent, I especially believe it should be in our school libraries. Buy it, you will not be sorry!

What a treat; this book is a fun read for kids, but also delivers great messages and information. Any person, of any age, would benefit from reading this book, and it has already become an invaluable resource in our home. The author has even included simple lists at the back of the book that cover all areas of bullying: Reporting a Bully, Standing Strong, Things to Say to a Bully, and Tips for Good Friendships. This is not your ordinary book; a fun read and resource all in one. Highly recommend.

The Hero in Me is written so kids of all ages can read it or be read to over and over again. The tips for bullys and heros are so helpful at the end of the book! This should be a standard in all grade schools today. I bought 4 copies so all the kids in our family are covered! Thank you, Sue Fitzsimonds for a very timely book on a difficult, but so important topic.

This is a wonderful book that teaches children how to be assertive in bullying situations. It aligns very nicely with the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program that we have in our school this year. The title is even perfect for our HERO theme- Helping Everyone Respect Others. As a School Counselor, I love this book and I'm sure it will be used in many classrooms K-6.
