Book Description

The Hills Party is the exciting and sexy first installment in the New Adult novella series "The Hollywood Twins" by contemporary romance author Amanda White.

Rachel and Hanna are identical twins, just out of college living the high life in Hollywood, California. Having the same stunningly beautiful appearance is as far as it goes when it comes to being identical. Their personality couldn't be further apart. Hanna is the fun-loving, outspoken "in your face" sister, working as a hip DJ, entertaining the Hollywood club crowd, while Rachel is more reserved, but has enough maturity to take care of both of them.

Being low on cash, Rachel and Hanna agree to entertain as DJ and bartender at a private party in Hollywood Hills. While working at the party, the shy Rachel meets the good looking young actor, Kyle Marwick. He takes a shine to the reserved twin, but she quickly finds that dating an upcoming moviestar is not without problems. Will love prevail or could jealousy divide the couple?

From the Inside Flap

Rachel heard the shower start up in Hanna's bathroom, and she thought it would be safe. Usually that was a signal that the man of the evening had been kicked to the curb. She left her room with only a thin loose robe draped over the black lace nighty she wore. It was nearly seven, and she was starving. She had been waiting for the living room to be cleared, before she headed out for breakfast. As she walked past the couch, she noticed the rumpled blankets cast across the floor and bent over to pick them up.

"Oh baby, that was spectacular," a deep voice growled from the couch and suddenly strong thick arms were wrapped around Rachel's waist. She had not noticed that her sister's guest was still lying on the couch. He tugged her backwards into his lap while Rachel cried out.
"Let go of me!" She shrieked and struck at his arms with balled up fists. Her heart was racing, as she felt his completely nude body against her robe.

"Wow, chill out," he muttered as he released her. "You're the one wiggling that fabulous ass in front of me; I thought it was an invitation!"

Rachel pulled her robe tighter around her body and glared at the massive man. "I am not Hanna," she hissed just in time for Hanna to strut out of her bedroom wearing only a very long T-shirt.

"Uh oh," she muttered when she saw the scene before her.

The man on the couch looked over his shoulder and took in a sharp breath at the sight of Hanna, and then looked quickly back at Rachel.

"Twins?" he gulped out, and tugged a blanket over his body. "Oh wow, sorry," he mumbled, his face turning beet red. He looked like an embarrassed little boy, and Rachel started to feel a little sorry for him.

"It's okay," she sighed as she glowered at her sister. "It is to be expected, isn't it Hanna?" She pursed her lips with annoyance and stalked into the kitchen.

"Rachel!" Hanna called after her, but Rachel ignored her and started a pot of coffee.

"I should go," the man on the couch announced and began searching for his clothes.
"Yes, you probably should," Hanna said sharply. "Just like I told you to before I got in the shower."

The man frowned as he glanced up at her. "I thought it would be impolite to leave without saying goodbye."

"Okay, goodbye then," Hanna snapped back, her green eyes shimmering with annoyance, and strode into the kitchen after her sister.

Hollywood Twins by Amanda White is a short novella based on the lives of identical twin sisters, Rachel and Hanna. They are as opposite as opposites can be. Hanna is the outgoing, party girl who is a club DJ and Rachel is a shy, reserved part time bartender/ baker. I thought that Amanda White did a great job at setting the stage for upcoming story lines. Hollywood Twins is a super quick read, and basically gives you a starting point on the sisters relationship with each other. I love how the twins were so different... It makes it easier for different personalities of readers' to relate to them.

I would love to read an entire book on the sisters and their adventures instead of novellas, but I think it is an awesome way for the author to start her career as a writer. The overall feel of the book was happy. Boy meets girl, boy and girl connect, boy makes girl angry, boy makes it up to girl, and they ride off into the sunset happily ever after on his Harley of course! I for one love happy endings, but a longer book with a little more groveling in the boy makes it up to girl part would be nice too. ;))

I would give this novella 4 stars overall and can't wait to follow Amanda White's career and see where she goes as an author! You should definitely check out Hollywood Twins... Quick read that will make you smile!

3.0 out of 5 stars Review From Stephanie's Book Reports October 26, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I always thought it would be great to be a twin. Especially an identical twin. Not so according to Rachel and Hanna. Rachel is the dependent responsible twin and Hanna is the carefree worry free twin. Rachel is concerned where their rent money for the next month is coming from. Hanna is a dancing DJ and is asked for both girls to DJ a party for a Hollywood hot shot. Hanna tries her best to seduce Kyle but he only has eyes for Rachel. Rachel can't see why Kyle would be interested in her and not Hanna. Rachel's not as comfortable in her skin as her sister.Ok so all this being said...there were areas in the book I thought should be longer or better described and some parts could have just been deleted for me. But overall if was a decent read. I gave it a 3/5 stars. There are two other books, so far, in this series. I have not yet read those.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sexy, adult fun! March 8, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This erotic romance about two very different twins was funny in places and easy to read. The erotic scenes were not overly graphic, but this adult read is sexually explicit enough that caution is recommended. I enjoyed the banter between the twins that belied a deep protectiveness between them.

I would recommend this book to adult readers who are looking for something light and fun!
