Editorial Reviews

In Volume 3 of our video history of World War II, we begin with the D-Day landings in Normandy and follow the victorious allied troops as they liberate Paris, breakthrough the Sigfried line, and cross the Rhine at Remagen. In the Pacific we see the war draw ever closer to the Japanese homeland until eventually it is brought to a dramatic end with the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and then Nagasaki. Based in part on previously unavailable, recently declassified archival footage, this is an outstanding video collection of the history of World War II. Approx running time: 56 minutes.
