Missing First Episode!!! (Two-Part Intro to the Series!),
This review is from: The Greatest American Hero Season 1 (Amazon Instant Video)
I was about to buy this online in lieu of the DVD's when I realized that this listing is TOTALLY MISSING THE FIRST EPISODE!!!!
The first episode was NOT "The Hit Car" but the two-part two hour introductory episode titled "Greatest American Hero". This Video On Demand season listing is totally missing the setup 2 hour episode that aired originally on March 18th, 1981. The two hour show that started it all is totally missing! Please fix this VOD guys if you're going to want people to buy this season online! It makes no sense to offer it without the first two hours that set the tone for the whole series!!!

Pilot Missing,
By Kyle J. Wolf (New York, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Greatest American Hero Season 1 (Amazon Instant Video)
Season 1 of TGAH, as currently listed, is missing the pilot to the series. While it is nice to be able to watch the rest of the series, for those who have not seen the series they will not understand what is happening and who the people are due to this missing segment. I am not sure of the reasoning behind not including the pilot, or at the very least, making the pilot available for viewing and/or downloading. It is for this reason, the exclusion of the pilot, that I rate this low. To improve the rating I would recommend making the pilot available.

The Hit Car!!,

Yes the first season presented here by Amazon does not include the pilot episode. I have no idea why but it doesn't. I recommend buying the actual DVD set since it does have the pilot episode on the disc. As for the actual episode here titled, 'The Hit Car' it is a perfect example of late 70's early 80's tv. It's fun it's dated and it has an armored hit car in it. I loved every second of it! It more than sets the tone for the series off the wall and wonderful (though now dated) 80's dialouge, action and story lines. A great episode imo. I actually have the DVD set. I 'cherry picked' my fav episodes for download for my portable device so I can 'believe it or not' on the go. Enjoy!
