3.0 out of 5 stars A Classic Anthology, February 24, 2007
This review is from: The Horror Seasons (DVD)
This film has something for every horror fans taste. The Halloween story is a psychological ghost story full of twists and turns. The Christmas story is a Tales from the Crypt style monster story, with a little gore and lesbian action to add spice. The Easter story is silent and black and white and is totally tougue in cheek. This one gives the Easter Bunny a totally new spin. The only weak story was the Summer story. It's about a female vampire's first night as a child of the dark. It grabs you in the beginning. But then it goes art house and becomes a mutual get to know you between two girls. Even the humorous waiter, who sneezes blood into some already nasty looking soup, fails to improve this boring installment. The viewer should simply fast forward through this story and see the end of the wrap around story, which is about a tormented music composer who starts out playing a concert doing a twisted version of The Four Seasons and ends up composing a sympony to horror itself.
If you like such classics as Tales From the Crypt and Creepshow, this is the film for you.
