4.0 out of 5 stars Just over the hill. October 24, 2013

This was very good book. The plot was great. It kept my interest for the good share of the book. The one thing that I disliked was the foul language. Is it really necessary to drop the f bomb so much. Other than that a great book.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Big Disappointment May 18, 2014
By Suzanne
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This might have been a fairly decent book. However, the errors in punctuation & run-on sentences were a huge distraction. The writing itself used every horror story cliché, from slamming doors to figures in the attic window so that you could almost predict what paranormal occurrence would happen next. I don't recommend this book to anyone.

Maybe there is a good story in there somewhere, but I could just not get past the grammar and punctuation errors. Thank goodness I borrowed the book from the Prime library and didn't pay $5 for it. The use of two names in the same sentence for the same character is extremely annoying, as other readers have noted. Some sentences run on and on. I have read some Kindle books which have some errors but it didn't bother me. I understand some books are self-published and allow for that. This author just doesn't write well. I stopped reading after 20 minutes. I should have read a sample first. I'll be sure to do that from now on so I don't try to read another book likes this. It is a horror story, but not the way the author intended it to be. Ugh!

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART November 7, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
This one will chill you to the bone. It is well written and the characters are great. You will want to keep on turning the pages. If you are squeamish you might want to read it during the daylight hours. I found it to be a great read and I do recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A scary page-turner... February 8, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book got scarier with every few pages I turned, and I kept turning pages
because I was mesmerized and really into the characters. When reading this
late at night, I was actually jumpy from the normal sounds in our home,
such as the icemaker, etc.. It was a real thriller for me and I thought the
writing was very good. I hadn't read anything by this author before, but
I surely will check out what else he's written. If you like spooky, this is the
book for you.

The story was good, but the editing could have been much better. At times it was very distracting. Not a predictable story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good read
Enjoyed it very much. Good story from beginning to end. Look forward to the next one. I am very picky about what I read. A book can start great and have a cheesy ending. Read more

3.0 out of 5 stars Good book, horrible editing.
It was a great story, but the editing made it a nightmare to read. I would try another book if it was edited properly.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was an ok read......
The story was suspenseful but I found it hard to relate to the characters. Some of the characters reactions to the ghosts or spirits were kinda nonchalant like no big deal. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Great story - way too many grammatical errors
Initially, I couldn't get into the story because I kept tripping over the tremendous amount of grammatical errors. This author clearly did not have an editor. Read more

More About the Author

Robert T. Siebers....Born in 1954 in Council Bluffs Iowa into a family with seven children. I currently reside in Arvada, Colorado a suburb of Denver. Enlisted in the U.S Army in 1972 and served as an Army Scout until 1978. My duty assignments included Europe and Panama. I have traveled all over the world which has given me the opportunity to witness some very strange things. These experiences are incorporated into my writing. I love to write about the paranormal, a subject which seriously fascinates me. My stories are not for the feint of heart or persons who frighten easily.
My first book The Evil Within is in part based on actual experiences while stationed in Germany in the early seventies. Although the story is fictional the places do actually exist and some of the characters are modeled after people I've known. I conceived the story while still serving in the military.
Finally, after many years, I sat down and put it into a book. I am pleased to share it with the world. My only hope is that my readers receive as much pleasure reading the story as I did writing it.
My most recent publication is titled The House On V Road. I was inspired to write this thriller about a house I actually lived in. Some of the events in my book actually occurred. However for the most part the novel is a work of fiction designed to unnerve and intrigue the reader.
Currently I am working on a new project titled "The Silo" which I hope to have published later this year.
