The Bell rings out with adventure, joy and triumph in this vibrantly animated adaptation of the classic Victor Hugo novel. As the center of the tale is Quasimodo, the disfigured bell ringer of the majestic Notre Dame Cathedral in 17-th century Paris. Mocked widely as a fool, Quasimodo finds little humanity in the world around him...until a young gypsy woman named Esmeralda brings water to him when he is locked in the stocks in a public square. From her act of kindness, a long-lasting friendship grows. When Esmeralda is fasley accused of witchcraft and sentenced to death, Quasimodo bodly rescues her and takes her to the sanctuary of the cathedral. High in the belfry, Quasimodo again risks all to protect the woman who dared to look beyond appearances and discover his inner goodness.
