I had a hard time putting this book down and when I wasn't reading it, I kept wondering what was going to happen next. Fast paced, with a complex plot and a kick-ass but soft-hearted heroine, this is a great romantic suspense. Vega is tough, clever and beautiful, and very likeable. Her past has made her want to compete in a man's world and win-and she does. With a background in the police force, she has moved on to be a top-notch bounty hunter with the reputation of always getting her man. That is until she's sent after Grayson with a two million dollar bounty on his head and a couple of murders on his record. But things aren't always what they seem and as she uncovers a complex criminal organisation, she has to reassess who are her friends and who are her enemies. With her eager younger sister trying to follow in her footsteps and her mother determined to marry her off to an eligible bachelor, you'll enjoy watching Vega come out on top. If you enjoy romantic suspense don't miss this one. It's a great read!

The Huntress is a departure from the type of book I usually read, and I enjoyed it very much. It's a cat and mouse story, but the reader is never quite sure who is the cat and who the mouse. The author has created a gutsy, fearless heroine in Vega. At least she appears fearless, yet inside she is a seething turmoil of inadequacies ingrained in her by her late father. Can she trust Grayson, the killer she is determined to apprehend as a bounty hunter?
The fast paced romantic suspense is full of twists and turns and will keep you guessing until the end.

Vega Brooks was employed at the Bail Enforcement Agency as a Bounty Hunter and worked very hard at the job she did well. Grayson Hunter, renown killer, was to be her next assignment. She had to succeed where many had failed, including her arrogant lover Butch Polsen. The suspense of finding the real culprit keeps you reading and thankfully the book is well-written with a descriptive style that flows easily. The characters are life-like and easy to visualize. It was an enjoyable read. Really...treat yourself!!

Award-winning author Dorothy McFalls was born in New York but raised in South Carolina. She makes her home on an artsy beach community in South Carolina with her husband, two dogs, and fluffy cat. Though writing has always been a passion for her, she pursued an undergraduate degree in Wildlife Biology and a graduate degree in Public Administration and Urban Planning. She then put her educational experience to use, having worked in all branches and all levels of government including local, regional, state, and federal. She even spent time during college working for a non-profit environmental watchdog organization.

Switching from government service and community planning to fiction writing wasn't as big of a change as some might think. Her government work was all about the stories of the people and the places where they live. As an urban planner, Dorothy loved telling the stories of the people she met. And from that, her desire to tell the stories that were so alive in her heart grew until she could not ignore it any longer. In 2001, she took a leap of faith and pursued her dream of writing fiction full-time.

Now an award-winning multi-published author, Dorothy enjoys writing in several different genres.
