Editorial Reviews

Review

Not only is The Husky Hitman entertaining to read, it also provides an excellent example to any young athlete in America that wants to have a career in intercollegiate athletics. Young people can prepare themselves by following the Dave Hoffmann philosophy of working out, attention to detail, dedication to teammates and overall toughness. --Former UW coach Don James

I've been looking forward to reading this book since I first heard Derek was working on it and it did not disappoint. Reading this book brought back some great memories of Husky Football from that time period. Derek does a great job covering the games of Dave Hoffman's career and as he does so, I was able to stop and recollect where I was for each of those games. This book is a must read for any Husky fan.

I've read all four of Derek's books and I'm looking forward to his next project.

The book tells a very good insight of Dave Hoffmann's life growing up from grade school through his years at the University of Washington during the school's glory years in the early 90's.

Read this book on the way to the Las Vegas Bowl last winter. Got me fired-up for the game. Even saw The Hammer at the game. Wonderfully written book about one of the best players in the Golden Era of Husky Football. If you are a Husky fan, this book is a must read. All of Derek's books bring key portions of Husky history to light......Buy them all and read them as soon as you can.

Go Dawgs!
