I stumbled upon this by accident.
Yes, the story wasn't very well written, but if everyone had put the energy into their roles that Phillippe did, the film would have at least had some credibility.
You figure the things that seem intentionally confusing are going to be revealed when the movie ends and the viewer is able to connect the dots.
