While the book can be somewhat promotional in nature from the tax attorney, it does a good job of explaining the basics of IRS Audits. Protections under the law make it necessary for IRS staff to explain the process, protections and the rights that taxpayers have under the law. The process can be intimidating for the average taxpayer. Laws and regulations around Federal Taxation are complicated and extensive. It is important to understand the basic process in order to get the right representation to help a taxpayer navigate the process. This book is a must read for someone who has just received a letter stating that their tax return has been selected for an IRS Examination.
