I'm a big supporter of Todd Wilson and his Familyman Ministries and was excited to see that he had a novel out. The story itself is amazing - very gripping and emotional, and safe for all ages to enjoy. You won't find that his writing is particularly eloquent but this book is all about the story - it's more of a narrative, even, but weaves an incredible tale of love and redemption through a very relevant storyline, forcing the reader to wrestle with what true Christian love is really about. It helps you understand what it looks like from the outside and inside - when it goes wrong, but also when it triumphs. Just a great story for men and women, including those who maybe see Christianity as a bunch of hypocrites who don't really care - it hits it all. For 99 cents on the Kindle - you'd be crazy to pass it up.

I couldn't put this book down! The beginning was hard to read (what happens to the little boy). I really liked how Todd brought this story around full circle. Very touching book for men, women and children. It was touching to see how the Lord used the boy and father relationship.

I highly recommend this book!

I'm a big fan of Todd's and have several of his other "Dad" books that are aimed at helping (homeschool) Dads be the best Dad they can be, and really enjoy him and his ministry. I believe this is his first fictional work and he did a pretty good job on it. His style of writing is a bit immature in the sense that you can tell he hasn't written a lot of fiction, but the story is great nonetheless and had me turning the page to see what happened next. Overall, I really enjoyed it, and would highly recommend.

An amazing story that every father should read. The emotion put in this book made it hard to read at times but even harder to put down. I'm not someone who reads very much. I could easily find myself reading more often if I could find more books like this.

My endless joy of reading came to a halt about 6 months ago - for no good reason other than I was tired of reading. Then I heard about The Injection and thought I'd give it a try. I couldn't put it down! In fact, the only time I did stop reading was when I paused long enough to tell my husband what was happening. Todd Wilson's writing is two-fold: his creativity with the story line is excellent; and, his writing style captures every word into an easy-read and meaningful book. In a sense, I 'became' the characters through his descriptions, quotes and actions of each character. Todd's message is clear - there is always hope and it comes in one form. I would recommend this book to anyone and especially to fathers plus anyone who thinks their past will never let them live a life free from those regrets. (I'll be meeting Todd Wilson this summer during a five-day conference in Maryland - can't wait!!)

I've been a Todd Wilson fan for a few years. He's been a tremendous help to me as a Dad with his email newsletter, cd's, podcast, calendar, etc. all reminding me of the importance of being a dad. I did not know, however, that he was writing a book. He really should've prepared me before I downloaded it here.

The characters in this book are bright and vivid. They jump off the page at you. I found myself drawn deeply into the narrative and essentially read it in two (extended) sittings. Great, truly unthinkable, evil hangs over the entire story. But so does unspeakable love and joy.

This book should come with a warning label, though. I'd suggest something along the lines of "WARNING: Reading this book will forever change the way you look at parenting! Do NOT read if you intend on being an uninvolved, disinterested, father!"

Brilliant move releasing it to an eBook. I'll be recommending it to all my real & virtual friends!

A great story that reminds us all to hold all of the time with our children close. A great reminder of redemptive love.
