More About the Author

After years of being told his life would never amount to anything, Malcolm Baptiste finally understood the words which were so powerful they started him down a path that changed his whole life. William Faulkner's provocative quote, "The past is never dead. It isn't even past," reflects the power his beliefs held over him before experiencing the revelation that allowed him to embrace a life of thoughtfulness, healing, and genuine grace.

His professional background is in the field of information technology. Malcolm graduated in 1998 from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT. with a concentration in finance. However, in the midst of all his successes, there existed a negative force that consistently produced damaging results leading to years of self-sabotage. Being struck by the enormity of the words, "Your life didn't turn out to be nothing," triggered his desire to uncover the reasons for a lifetime of self-destructive behavior.

By the year 2006 a story so compelling evolved and the concept for his book began to take shape. Initially, the intent was simply to reach out to people who were searching for answers in their own lives. Maybe they could identify with his experiences. But as life continued to unfold, the motivation to share what had been learned became greater. With that, the writing of "The Inner Journey Home - Letters To My Son" began in January, 2008.

Completed September, 2010, "The Inner Journey Home - Letters To My Son" is featured in major bookstores and available for preview at www.TheInnerJourneyHome.com.
