5.0 out of 5 stars a powerful and emotional work March 6, 2012
By SK
Format:Kindle Edition
I saw a production of this play in Los Angeles and it was FANTASTIC. The exceptional performances and skilled direction brought these already amazing words to a brilliant life. This play is so emotional -- a tear-jerker. And yet it possesses a comedic frankness that will have you laughing out loud. Gary Lennon is an original voice - honest, insightful, blunt, surprising, and brashly funny. His writing should not go unnoticed. This play may very well be a look into a world that is completely foreign to you, but its heart and soul will have you reexamining the way you relate to yourself and those closest to you. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Work March 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
A wonderful play about being truthful, being in love, and being human. Mr. Lennon captures all three in this play. The characters voices are distinct and relatable. I also got to see the Los Angeles production and the play works beautifully on the stage.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Highly Recommend! March 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
As an Acting Coach in Los Angeles it is a pleasure to come across great new plays to recommend to my clients. The Interlopers is the latest in a long line of great work from Gary Lennon. I had the pleasure of seeing the original Los Angeles production where I fell in love with the story, the characters and the very important message this beautiful play contains. I highly recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Something for ALL with THE INTERLOPERS March 2, 2012
By Jim
Format:Kindle Edition
Big laughs, heavy drama, complex relationships and a dose of sweet romance in Gary Lennon's THE INTERLOPERS. A pleasure to read and amazing to see performed, as I did during its Los Angeles run last year. Thumbs way up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Challenging Beauty... March 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I, too, had the opportunity to attend a reading of THE INTERLOPERS in New York City. It invokes great beauty and heart as it asks us to consider the challenges faced by true outsiders--transgender is, perhaps, the ultimate challenge of identity--and one that pushes buttons in the otherwise liberal. Love is the tool for transcendence and triumph...as this fine work so clearly shows.

4.0 out of 5 stars A MUST March 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
I saw a reading of the Interlopers when it was staged in New York and I just loved it. It touches on a subject which in my opinion is not given enough exposure. It was really beautiful and touching.
