I believe any serious trader or investor needs to always be searching for an edge in the market. To stay sharp, I like to read a lot of books and I'm constantly looking for new good ones. This book was loaded with many pearls of wisdom from some of history's most successful investors and traders. If you want to be successful it makes sense to learn from those who have already achieved a high level of success. This is a book that I will always be referring back to and I highly recommend it.

For the most part, this book was just average, with various authors selling their products. One of the articles was worth the price of the book: Rule #1 was written very well So well, that I went to the library to read it in its entirety. It gave specific technical places to judge how a stock is doing: 10 day moving average; slow stough; M%; and another one so that one can compare to see which way the market is heading. I am personally using it for etf's: spy, dia, mdy, and the reverse of dia, short dog.

This book within other books was great to get different perspectives. It's good to see what kind of investor I've become.

I'm always skeptical of books giving investing advice because let's face it everyone has a different opinion on how it should be done. However, The Investor's Brain Tips, Tricks & Strategies for the Savvy Investor is more than just an opinion piece. It walks you through what the successful savvy investor is doing to build wealth. Everyone thinks the stock market is only for the wealthy educated investor but this book will show you how anyone can get involved in the financial markets to build wealth. Whether you are a newbie just getting your feet wet or a seasoned investor this book has something for everyone.

The highlight for me was the section on The Intellident Investor by Benjamin Graham. This was one of the first books that I ever read and is responsible for my addiction to the markets. It's been a while since I have reviewed this great material and the Investor's Brain brought it back to my attention. This tried and true approach to investing remains very relevant even today.

I also like "Key Thoughts" sections throughout the book that have some really great quotes to print out and keep handy for future reference.

All that to say this book is a great read and well worth the investment.
