Book Description

Learn How Isometric Exercises Can Help You Build Your Physique -
Without Moving A Muscle

No matter what your age or current fitness level, isometric exercises
can help you build the body of your dreams. This exercise system uses
the principle of the isometric contraction in order to build your
muscles quickly and efficiently. Traditional exercises such as
weightlifting force you to perform boring repetitions in order to break
your muscles down and stimulate growth. Done properly, the isometric
contraction allows you to accomplish the same thing in 7 seconds.
If you are a man isometrics can help you build greater muscle size and
definition. If you are a lady isometrics can help you build that
healthy, feminine "Fit N Sexy" look that so many women desire. If you
are an older man or women isometrics can help you get back in shape
while turning back the clock. The benefits of this exercise system
include:
  • They can be done anywhere with no special equipment (say goodbye
    to gym fees)

  • They can be done at anytime (this makes them easy to fit into
    busy schedules)

  • Takes less than ½ an hour to perform

  • Gives you a full body workout

  • Builds muscle as well as muscular definition

  • Builds strength and muscle tone at the same time

  • Are incredibly safe

  • Are extremely effective
If you are interested in getting in the best shape of your life, order The Isometrics Bible today.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still Amazed. April 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I tried "The Isometric Exercise Bible" as a download to my Kindle. After one week of daily exercising, I saw noticeable results. After two weeks I had dropped an inch off my waist, and could see more definition in my shoulders, biceps, and chest. My wife, kids, and teenaged grandkids could also tell I was making remarkable physical improvements. After three weeks, I ordered four hardcopies to pass around to the rest of the family. I'm still questioning how quickly and how well the program works, but it does. I have tried one of those super-duper, expensive "get in shape" programs from TV advertisements, and actually made it through its 90-day program one time (it actually took me closer to 120 days). Unfortunately I experienced injuries from overtraining and really got burnt out on subsequent attempts. With isometrics, you can't overtrain, because you are pushing and pulling against your own body. If this secret gets out, there are going to be a lot of gyms, trainers, and TV exercise hucksters that are going to go out of business. By the way, I'm 63 years old and I'm loving the way I'm feeling. I am recommending this exercise program to all my family and friends, regardless of age.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Was A Real Surprise ... February 6, 2013

Because I thought I knew everything about working out and exercise. I now know that I wasn't as knowlegeable as I thought ... How depressing. My point is you really need to get this book if you are interested in keeping fit.

This is especially true if you don't have access to a gym, have physical limitations or can't afford the expensive equipment needed for traditional workouts. This is really a worthwhile book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book on Isometric Exercises January 30, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is really a complete resource. There are exercises for pretty much every part of your body. The text is clear and easy to understand, and each exercise is accompanied by drawings showing the proper way to perform each exercise. As a newcomer to isomtetrics I was really impressed at how easy these exercises are to do, and best of all you do not need any equipment. In fact, I am doing many of the exercises while I am at work! This is huge, as I am often too busy to go to the gym. I wish I had a book like this years ago!

I have always been interested in isometric exercise and have done them in the past. The author gives detailed intructions for each exercise along with drawings in case of any confusion. This book is easy to read and understand. You can do the exercises easily at home and maybe even at work as they require small movements and many can be done seated.

I was impressed with the number and different types of isometric exercises that are presented. You entire body can be exercised with isometrics. One of the best features of isometrics is the small amount of time required to perform the exercise. Another great feature of isometrics is that you don't need any equipment.

This book is for everyone who wants to improve their health, improve muscle tone and defination.

4.0 out of 5 stars Yes, it is for everyone August 16, 2013
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
As the preface and cover says, any age, any health condition--everyone can do these exercises. The author warns that, while the exercises may look easy-they are not. I can attest to that, as this 68 yr old body lets me know. The key is simply doing it, following the simple directions with their simple pictural directions, and staying committed to at least a few every day. It only takes seven seconds, the author reassures us, but that's not counting the breathing, the preparations of getting one'self into position... well, okay, maybe 12 seconds. Per exercise none of us have any excuses whatsoever. Now I like it. In six months I may love it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pamphlet Not a Book May 6, 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I would describe this as a large pamphlet, not really a "book" by any means. It is simply a list of isometric exercises. There are no numbers given such as how many reps, or how long to hold the position, or how many seconds. Drawings are poor quality. I had to go online and find videos that talked about how the exercises should be done to get a clearer picture. There is a lame warning paragraph at the beginning with no reasons given. Again I had to check online to find out that people with heart conditions may be stressed by holding these positions too long, or holding their breath too long (may pass out). There is a tendency not to breath while you hold the tension. Checked my heart rate and I personally had no response (no elevated blood pressure) after performing the moves. Just saying, the author could have spent a few minutes including a FEW more words! Laziest piece of writing ever.

That said, I am using these exercises at my desk in my cubicle during work and it feels better than sitting still all day. I would recommend them if you have a sedentary job to get your blood flowing now and then. No need to change and go to a gym.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Guide February 3, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a life-long exercise fan I am always looking for a competitive edge. I used isometric training when I was involved in high school and collegiate wrestling and not sure why I got away from it but plan to now mix isometrics in with other workouts; especially when I am travelling. The book is a great guide and several of the exercises will involve muscles not always used when lifting weights, etc.
