Currently, Maricle is governance consultant for the California School Board Association. He is a graduate of California State University in Sacramento. Maricle has a master's degree in educational leadership from St. Mary's College in Maraga, California. More About the Author

I've worked in education since I left college, but my real love is faith. I enjoy writing, speaking and singing about God, faith and belief.

"The Jesus Priorities," my first book, was written in response to my own crisis of faith, and has been used widely in Methodist churches across the country for bible study groups.

In January 2014, I visited the Trietsch Memorial United Methodist Church community in Flower Mound, Texas to help kick off a church-wide study of The Jesus Priorities. What a great community - and a blessing to me.

When I am not writing books or music, I enjoy playing with my family, reading, swimming, biking, walking, laughing, watching movies, road trips and cheese. Also, sleeping and ice cream. And oatmeal-raisin cookies.

I believe world peace is possible and I want to help.

I found this book by accident, and purchased a copy. As a pastor I have several books tossed across my desk, and few touch me as this one has. I have purchased almost ten copies, and people in my church have purchased more. I'm planning on using this for a sermon and study series, and I have read and re-read for my own personal journey.
The author has found a way to step outside of the usual church methodology book, and move head first into a book that makes us look at Jesus' teachings and priorities in a new and faithful way.
This book is organized, and carefully prepared. However, it is also very personal and tends to climb into your heart and tug.
As a pastor I highly recommend this book to everyone. As a Christian I highly recommend you read this and buy a copy for your pastor.
To the Author, thank you for speaking to those of us who still seek to know Christ in a personal and real way.

Many Blessings,

Rev. D. Kent Deubner, Senior Pastor
First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)
Pleasant Hill, MO 64080

If one is looking to create a spiritual practice, there are some very good guidelines here. The author has literally quantified the number of times certain things are mentioned in the New Testament, thereby creating a hierarchy of practices that Jesus recommended. This slim volume is to the point, recommending and justifying certain actions in our daily living. It is a lovely springboard from which to create a personalized spiritual practice.

Great study book for a discipleship class. With good insight, Maricle lists eight things Jesus consistently said and did during his public ministry so that those who follow him have a clear map to better following Jesus' ways. Christians who yearn to grow closer to God by living a life pleasing to God will enjoy this clearly written book. The evening study group at my church certainly does!
