I have watched every episode at least 3 times and I'm still impressed. I find it interesting that the show can generate interest without significant violence. I think it can do this for several reasons.

The innocence factor is very high. That is, the main characters are good while still being realistic. Cleo is played as innocent and simple, occasionally she (the actress) seems to over-ennunciate her words, as if she's playing on a stage rather than for TV, but it works well for her character. Ricci is the "straight man", good at scowling when the girls get too sweet, and Emma is the common-sense smart character. Bella, brought in for the third season when Emma leaves, is also good. Even the "bad" characters are played as real people, not evil, but a little too selfish, greedy, or mean while still having some good in them.

The language is clean, and the plots are mostly about how people relate to each other while the main characters try to do good while keeping the secret that the girls are mermaids.

I am way beyond the age that this show is intended for but I was hooked from the first season to the last. I really enjoyed it. I watched back-to-back episodes and I fell in love with the characters, their struggles and even the annoying minor characters. I didn't expect the ending to be so epic but it showed the growth of the mermaids from the beginning to end (minus Emma, plus Bella). Really lovely and good clean fun.

I chose a 5 star rating because this show is so good and is really interesting! I like it so much partly because when I was a little girl I always dreamed of being a mermaid! Those girls are so lucky to be playing a mermaid (My dream when I was little). My favorite Disney princess is Ariel of course! The other reason why I like it so much is because it is a family type show; they all are good friends who would do anything for each other! That is a really special thing to have on a show! This show always makes me laugh and makes me want to watch more! I wish they had more seasons! I want it to come back so bad! I love Australia and wish i could visit there! I will someday! People in Australia rock!!!! Love H20!!!! Thats why it is such an awesome show! You should totally check it out!

Despite being a generation past the appropriate age for this show I found it a lot of fun. I've watched all three seasons. A neat little bit of science fantasy that makes for enjoyable "suspend reality" entertainment.
