First, I wish to thank Mr. Fab at MusicForManiacs for the tip on this.

Uh, oh, my. At first this was dance, A/C, sweet soul (just gorgeous black chick vocals!), professional, pop, and slick forgettably pleasant; the production sound reminded me of late '80s dance funky Madonna. And this started to grow on me, more and more and more and more.... Yes! As the album played and the piece kept coming back to the several stylistic segues:

"Force yourself to smile and you'll soon stop frowning.
Force yourself to laugh and you'll soon find something to laugh about.
Wax enthusiastic and you'll very soon feel so.
A being causes his own feelings.
The greatest joy there is in life is creating.
Splurge on it!"

A mantra repeated several times, reinforcing each play. The lyrics of each performance and the tone: thoughts of Jerry Samuels!

This album plays like a BIG BUDGET production song-poem. The production is several orders of magnitude better and more polished than anything Rodd Keith recorded, but the force-fit lyrics-to-music vibe is there in full bloom. Think "Moon Men" by John Muir (THE AMERICAN SONG-POEM ANTHOLOGY CD on Bar-None Records). "Cosmic Phone Call" from the INCREDIBLY STRANGE MUSIC album. Disco William Shatner. Criswell set to dance music.

George Harrison's Radha Kirshna Temple recordings on Apple got nothing on these guys.

5 full stars!
