Book Description

October 6, 2009
Sox rocks! Here comes the hottest collection of knitted socks yet, filled with 30-plus designs, a variety of techniques, tips, and playful trivia from those in the know. And it’s all in one flirtatiously fresh package.
Aimed at the knitter who is super-passionate about socks, The Joy of Sox delivers on its name. With their tantalizing cables, intricate lacework, and intriguing color work, the patterns represent the very best in sock design. There are revamped classics, bold new styles, and even a few themed socks—like the diamond lace thigh-highs and toeless pedicure socks.

In addition to the results of our online knitting poll, you’ll also get fun stuff, including info from knitting personality Laurie Perry and phenoms Laura Bryant and Shannon Okey.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great sock book! August 31, 2009
By Anne
Format:Hardcover-spiral
I own just about every sock knitting book ever written. I had to review this one because I like it so much! It has great sock patterns, a lot of patterns (32), beautiful photographs, and a spiral binding. What makes it unique is that it has little narratives and fun statistics sprinkled throughout that make it a sock book that you can actually read. The "Joy of Sox" double entendres in the book are kind of cute too! This is now one of my favorite sock books.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best collection of sock patterns! October 16, 2009
Format:Hardcover-spiral|Amazon Verified Purchase
If you could only get one sock book, this is the one! I knew I wanted this book when all the new sock patterns I had clicked on Ravelry were from this book. Nearly every pattern is something I want to knit. And I love how there are multiple views of each sock pattern on real feet, so you know how they will look.
