The book is repetitive and confusing. Very inarticulate. The book is written by a non professional with no scientific or medical knowledge or experience. The material is remanufactured by someone who has no idea how to write or proofread. Don't waste your time.

What this book essentially is is a 26 page introduction to a REAL book about the ketogenic diet. I agree with other reviewers that it should have been proof read before being published. It read like some high-schooler's term paper. It ended essentially this way: "Thank you so much for buying and reading my book. I wish you all the best with this diet even though I have offered little more than a sketchy outline of what you should eat and do be careful that you are super careful about what you do eat, because it can kill you if you do it wrong."

Sampson Sharpe's latest offering is not your typical "all fluff and no meat" Kindle diet-book. In fact--It's virtually ALL meat! And I mean that both literally AND figuratively! Literally, the Ketogenic Diet is a protein-based nutrition program which promotes the use of fat being burned for energy, rather than carbohydrates, starches, etc. Figuratively, Mr. Sharpe's book is cover-to-cover sound and USEABLE CONTENT--no "filler" here--unless you mean the "filling" meals you will be enjoying on this very practical, very DO-able diet! This is a simple, easy-to-follow manual to the health and body you've been trying to get back to! Do yourself a favor and get it--it's all here, it's easy, and it works!

As a long time paleo fan I've come across the ketogenic diet a few times and wanted to give it a go. I needed to know more about the pro's and cons before deciding if it was for me though. I really like the amount of detailed nutritional information the book provides although I know not everyone likes that much scientific info. Just one note though, margarine should not be on any recommended food list, let alone an "excellent fat" list!

There are some good things about the diet to give it a try for a very short period but for me I find it doesn't offer enough benefits compared to the risks. Especially when used on a long-term basis. I'll just stick with my paleo and intermittent fasting routine for the foreseeable future. For everyone wanting to know if the ketogenic diet is for them, give it a read and decide for yourself.

This book, while informational about the science of the diet, did not provide much in the way of the specifics, such as what foods should be eaten, when, & how much. It also was VERY poorly written from a grammatical standpoint, & this made it hard to follow at times. Overall this was a disappointing read.

My name is Sampson Sharpe and I write books about health, fitness, and general wellness. I'm sort of a fitness guinea pig if you will. I've been involved in health industry in some form or fashion for over 20 years now. If there was an exercise program or new diet I was the first in line to try it out. Some worked. Some didn't. I did however take a little away from each one. That's what I believe makes me uniquely qualified to write books on these subjects.

I'm a huge proponent in simplicity and efficiency. Why complicate things and make them more tedious if we don't have to? My books are designed for the busy person in mind. I take pride in writing "evergreen" books that will stand the test of time. My heart goes into every book and I am not satisfied until I get them just right.

In my spare time I like hanging out with my wife and kids, traveling, and studying about health. I don't have any fancy titles, nor am I famous. I just love helping other people that are passionate about getting in shape and living a healthy lifestyle.
