This was a really fantastic read and I look forward to book two. Our hero, Corvus, was thoroughly engaging and intelligent! Although the story is told solely through the eyes of our heroin, HIS emotions come through crystal clear, whether it's humor, desperation or anger. (Ahem, and he sounds delicious)

I found our heroin, Jehenne, to be a strong female lead. She has a new world thrust on her rather quickly and she adapts well...for most of it anyways. I did find some of her behavior...selfish and feeble at times. I imagine this is her coming of age and learning. I found myself irked by her at times, but by no means does it detract from the story. It seems to have done the opposite for me, as i cant wait to read the second book, to see if she has matured!

I noticed only a few grammatical/spacing errors. This is a wonderful paranormal world with vampires, shape-shifters, witches, faeries and more. You care for the side characters and their stories. You will find sensual moments and real language, but truly done in a tastefully REAL manner.

While each author creates their own version of paranormal worlds and lives, many are "cookie cutter" blah or so detailed you lose the story, but i found this one to have a great balance to draw you into both the setting and story. Kudos :)

I just finished reading this book on Wattpad...AWESOME and AMAZING!!! This story just grips you and won't let go. The plot and descriptions had me visualizing everything so vividly...I swear it was me experiencing it all and not the characters in the book! LOL. I love all the different supernatural characters, not just those most commonly read/written about. I could barely put it down and read every free second I had. I'm really excited to see what Book 2 has in store...can't wait!!!

Jehenne Corbeaux flees England, and her mother's insistence that her dreams are just that and nothing more to seek refuge with her somewhat eccentric, seemingly harmless grandmother.

Her brief reprieve is shattered when a ghost pops up at her window, a mohican-sporting ghoul starts knocking at the door, and her grandmother reveals the Corbeaux families' gift (or curse, depending on who you ask about it).

The Key to Erebus has an intricate plot, interwoven with the author's 'Dark' series to create a vibrant and exciting world of all things paranormal. Vampires (of course), Witches (naturally), Shapeshifters, Ghouls, Fae... even an Angel and an Incubus settle comfortably into a story arc with endless possibilities.

Jehenne has received some backlash from readers for not jumping into bed with the male lead - Corvus - in spite of his looks, charm, powers of seduction, and, well... let's just say I wouldn't kick him out of bed for eating crisps (or bagels. This is France, after all), but I applaud her for it. If there's a list of Spunky Female Heroines out there, Jehenne is well deserving of a place in said list. She has dignity and moral integrity, she battles with herself over her choices and makes decisions that break her heart. She isn't perfect of infallible - she's an 18-year-old girl with hopes and fears like anyone else. She stands up for what she believes is right, no matter how many people she pisses off in the process, and that's what I love about her.

The Key to Erebus is a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end and the teaser for the next book in the series is cruel. It's evil incarnate. I'm on tenterhooks while I wait for the notification that I can finally buy the bloody thing!

I really enjoyed this story and look forward to the next one. This was very different from the usual paranormal format, in a good way. Lots of twists and turns, engaging characters and a fast pace .

Vampires and witches. Seems to be a theme to my likes. This is no exception. I love Corvus and his little witch. Another must read. And don't forget book 2 . I'm on my way now.
Enjoy

I thought this was going to be a vampire book, but was pleasantly surprised to find it involves many different castes of supernatural creatures. Though one of the major characters is a vampire, I would not consider it a vampire story. This book had many interesting characters and the author does a good job of building a little world around them. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series.
