Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (born 1831 as Helena von Hahn; died in 1891), was a Russian occultist who, with William Quan Judge, founded the Theosophical Society. She wrote other books such as Isis Unveiled: A Master Key to the Mysteries of Ancient and Modern Science and Technology Volume I. - Science, The Secret Doctrine - Volume I, Cosmogenesis, The Key to Theosophy, The Voice Of The Silence Being Fragment from the 'Book Of The Golden Percepts', etc.

She wrote in the Preface to this 1889 book, "The purpose of this book... needs but few words of explanation. It is not a complete or exhaustive text-book or Theosophy, but only a key to unlock the door that leads to deeper study. It traces the broad outlines of the Wisdom Religion, and explains its fundamental principles; meeting, at the same time, the various objections raised by the average Western enquirer... She states, "We hold to no religion, as to no philosophy in particular: we cull the good we find in each.

Well written to provide insight to Theosophy. They didn't sell me on their conclusions however, to late for Madame B to return to meditation in former body, but hopefully she will return to deeper meditation and greater clarity in the next life.

This is a great book that I am studying in a study group. This particular printing,
ISBN-10: 1484839404,
ISBN-13: 978-1484839409,
the blue cover w/ the Mandala, is not a good printing. It has ONLY the main text of the book; No cover page, no copyright page, no table of contents, no glossary, no index, nothing.
