I was never a fan of this light hearted take on the Batman. It was far to kiddy friendly but my son loved it. Ever since Batman the animated series in the ninties i have been a big fan. Batman the Animated series was very dark in nature even more so than any of the movies besides the new trilogy of course. I am a fan of the no joking no smiling no nonsense darknight Batman. I was completly taken by surprise when i found out that the writer for the awesome Batman the Animated series wrote an episode for this Brave and the Bold version and to add to it they have the excellent Kevin Conroy who did the voice for Batman in the Animated series voicing the Phantom Stranger along with Mark hammil who voiced the Joker and Adam West voicing the murdered Thomas Wayne! In this episode you see the True Dark Knight!! This episode is an orgin story showing a young Bruce Wayne seeing his father and mother murdered right in front of him. As a boy they show him promising to fight evil for the rest of his life. He is a take no prisoners get out of my way or get hurt no messing around Batman in this episode. He actually wants to kill Joe Chill!! The man who murdered his parents! This is a classic excellent episode not to be missed! It is that good. I wrote this show off as complete kiddy fare but this episode is not for the kids.

i'm a BIG FAN of batman brave and the bold [and the 90s series as well]. ever since DC's "52" comic book run, i've been a major fan of the C-list heroes and villains...however, i honestly didn't really like the freedom fighters. uncle sam? who gets his power from patriotism? blehh. and plastic-man isn't all that interesting to me either. what really got to me about this episode was the end....where batman pretty much turns into captain america. haha! bravo. not one of my favorite episodes, but its good nonetheless.

Fun take on batman, a bit more humour than I expected, but still great. Always a different co-star with some fun variations on the old characters and stories. Keeping it updated for the next generation.

This is one of the best Batman series. I can't say it's better than Batman: The Animated Series but it's right up there.

Batman the Brave & the Bold is nothing short of inspired--with its mini-episode prior to the main event, inclusion of the best-loved DC pantheon of heroes & villains, and satisfying performances by Bader as well as Batman veteran guest performers such as Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill. However, they truly outdid themselves in the episode titled "Chill of the Night" with Adam West and Julie Newmar appearing as Bruce Wayne's parents--this is just pure fan love. Thanks for the ride--Outrageous!

Batman: The Brave and the Bold has some for both kids and adults. The animation and dialogue is reminiscent of The Superfriends from 70's while the storyline is more intelligent like that of The Justice League from the early 2000's.

It is good to a point, but it takes away from some of the other Batman series animation I have used in the past. If you want to kill some time and watch some animation it is a okay purchase.

This episode was pretty good. It could have had a little more of a story line. Other than that it was good.
