From the Author

The Lady and the Warrior is a short (14 page) historical romance story with a The Last of the Mohican's flavor to give readers a taste of my full-length American historical romance novels. If you like The Lady and the Warrior, chances are you will enjoy Red Bird's Song, Through the Fire, Kira, Daughter of the Moon and The Bearwalker's Daughter. All have a strong Native American theme interwoven with the plot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Romance at its best! February 27, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
The Lady and the Warrior is a sweet and tender romance, the kind of romance that makes readers sigh with...could it be longing? What woman wouldn't love to be rescued by tall dark and handsome? In a short time she manages to capture the harshness of the wilderness and the wonderful intervention of fate that turns a near tragedy into a lovely tale of happily ever after. The cover is nice too! Loved it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing "Short Story" March 10, 2012
By Scarlet
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This is a wonderful read and just the thing for those times when you don't have hours and hours to devote to reading. This author is able to pack an entire love story with strong emotion into a small package. Personally, I think it is great to find a short story to introduce me to a new author. If you are looking for a short read with great historical details, this is the one for you.

Format:Kindle Edition
I put down more books than I read, but I loved this story. Zane/Nighthawk was a powerful character. I fell in love with him and that's what I want in a romance.

1.0 out of 5 stars Seriously?
This short story only cost $0.99 but only took less than 20 minutes to read. This should have been a free download from the authors website not something sold on amazon. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars The lady and the warrior by Beth Trissel
I chose a one star rating because of the shortness of the story. It had the beginnings of a wonderful book but it started and ended almost on the same page. I would not recommend.

Married to my high school sweetheart, I live on a farm in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia surrounded by my children, grandbabies, and assorted animals. An avid gardener, my love of herbs and heirloom plants figures into my work. The rich history of Virginia, the Native Americans and the people who journeyed here from far beyond her borders are at the heart of my inspiration. In addition to American settings, I also write historical and time travel romances set in the British Isles, and nonfiction about gardening, herbal lore, and country life.
