The Land of Milk and Honey is an inspiring documentary exploring the emergence of Israel's folk songs and dance, primarily though the contributions of one man, Eliahu Gamliel. At 80 years old, Mr. Gamliel has been a part of Israel almost from its inception. Having arrived in Israel as a young man, Mr. Gamliel lived in those early kibbutzim and was witness and participant in developing dances and songs that bonded the settlers. Having choreographed more than 100 dances that are still danced today, Mr. Gamliel's biggest contribution to today's traditions is a song. "Eretz Zavat Chalav u'Dvash". The Land of Milk and Honey is an inspiring film for anyone's home collection.
