David Cook, with his friends Daniel James and Andy Skib, has written a soaring rock song that says goodbye with a touch of defiance. It has just about everything you might want from a midtempo rocker: drum breaks, guitar solos, crunchy bass, and warm scotch vocals that sing "you could tell the world that you knew I could fight for you... but now I know that I can let you go 'cause I wrote the last song I'll write for you." One listen and it'll be stuck in your head for days!

David Cook always writes songs with intelligent lyrics. He doesn't do sappy. With The Last Song I'll Write For You he's managed to capture that moment you realize a damaged relationship is over. You can finally let go. With his co-writers Andy Skib and Daniel James, he's crafted a beautiful and hooky tune that I can't get out of my head. Seriously good.

I was never so happy to wake up at 5 am! The Last Song I'll Write For You is the latest masterpiece from my favorite artist of all time. Instantly catchy and stuck in my head since I heard the snippet! Can't wait to see it performed tonight on Idol! As always, thank you, Amazon, for being so user friendly!

This song is already stuck in my head, and I'm not trying to get it out. It's pure David Cook - great voice, great melody, great lyrics, great band. This is what we need - real music with no autotune, no dance track, no gimmicks - just a talented singer and a good song. AMAZING! Keep 'em coming. Definitely not the last song he'll write for us, and certainly not the last David Cook song I'll buy.

This morning we all know that David is officially not with RCA anymore. This song is more proof that David has such huge talent,chops,musical genius that he can now take and go with without record company constraints. Everything about this song is natural, relaxed, flowing, harmonic, heartfelt and emotional. It has the tempo and rhythm to get you moving and on your feet. I will forever be a huge supporter of this gifted, wonderful and brave young man.

I'm not one who usually writes song reviews, but I had to after listening to "The Last Song I'll Write For You". All I can say is WOW! The vocals are stunning and I love that the voice is in the forefront.This song is so so so much better than anything now played on radio. If you enjoy good music with amazing vocals, then this song is a perfect choice. I've had it on replay ever since I downloaded it.

This song has a wonderful arrangement. The changes that take place in it are exceptional. David Cook's voice is so smooth, love those high notes. This may be his best song yet! I am hooked and had it on repeat on my iPod loving every second of it.
