Book Description

KARAH QUINNEY - #1 BESTSELLER IN ANCIENT WORLD HISTORICAL ROMANCE

In a prehistoric land ravaged by searing heat, flooding crops, deep canyons etched in red rock and unforgiving sand, all must fight to survive. Life is not a promise, but a battle waged with strength and might.
Power has shifted and chaos threatens to ravage the world. Balance must be restored or the peaceful way of life sought by the village sheltered beneath the red rocks will be gone forever.
Kaichen is a hunter and warrior that fights to survive in a merciless landscape, he is also the last hope for his people. He is...the last Sundancer.

“All who listened learned that life was not a promise, but a battle waged by those with strength and might.” Quote from The Last Sundancer

“Theirs was a story of hope for the future and of the unyielding belief in the traditions of their people.” Quote from The Last Sundancer

5.0 out of 5 stars An extremely engaging, well written book January 6, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
In 'The Last Sundancer' Karah Quinney has managed to give life to a slew of characters. Amara, Kaichen, Antuk, Azin, and Denoa in particular are imprinted upon my mind. These characters are entirely believable, and their desires are realistic. We all know what it is like to feel hopeless, and we all know what it is like to feel exalted. In this way, I was able to easily relate to their plight. The way they, and the events that evolve around them, are depicted brings them to life as surely as anyone I have ever known. I was so enthralled with the story that I lost two nights of sleep, and I can honestly say that I do not regret it one iota. In the very beginning, you are pulled in yet left a bit confused. As the story continues, all of the things you thought were left hanging as loose ends are weaved together to form an ending of such magnitude I doubt I will ever forget it. To be honest, I am not much of a romance reader, yet I truly enjoyed the developing love story at the center of 'The Last Sundancer.' I highly recommend this book, and am so glad that I took a chance on reading it. I suggest that you do to.

This was a great book, very hard to put down and definitely enjoyable. I love stories from the distant past that delve into how ancient people lived during that time period. Of any of you that are reading this are looking for a well written beautiful story, this is one of those!
I was pulled right in and I felt like I knew the characters. I enjoyed Shale's character and the love story that developed between him and Denoa. The dance scenes were incredible and inspiring. I felt like I could hear the beat of the drums. I have a few of the books by this author and will definitely look for what's next from her.

4.0 out of 5 stars Too much.. October 22, 2013

Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I felt there was an overload of lovey dovey mushy crap...

IE " he placed her here or carried her there" like she was a little rag doll instead of a live woman...

just way too much of that toward the end...

other than that I really liked the day to day story line....

4.0 out of 5 stars A Good Read April 9, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It was good and hard to put down. I wanted more, but did not find it. I'm pobably too much of stickler for detail, but lots of little things that seemed not to fit in whatever historic time period they were supposed to be in.
