About the Author

With the publishing of this book, Bonny Gilbert Ashe launches her fifth career; sixth, for those of us who consider motherhood a career. Every new start has required courage, imagination, and tooth-grinding faith in the future. From the start of her working life in the restaurant industry, through accounting, data processing and finally ministry, she has always held teaching roles and has always been a peace maker. As a Unity Minster, she learned to believe in most of the possibilities presented by her fertile imagination; or, perhaps, wild imagination. Call it what you will, Flash Gordon episodes were written and filmed long before space travel was a gleam in the eye of President John Kennedy.

This book is a fun page-turner. In this engaging tale animal and human friends learn to communicate and travel wherever and whenever. They meet others on the way who become companions, and encounter amazing teachers. The heroine is a misfit little girl who craves friends of like mind, but is unable to fit in. Her isolation is relieved by adventures with friends who come out only when she is alone, and with animals who nurture her, but her loneliness remains. These and other characters seemed to curl into my heart and beckon me to read on. The book invited me to think much more deeply than the above description would suggest. Challenging truths are wrapped in a delightful work of fiction. It's light, and yet not. Fun yet provocative.

As I read this book, I felt the sort of delicious pleasure that I enjoyed years ago reading deep myths and fairy tales, Tolkein and C.S. Lewis... Timeless and timely understandings are so powerfully triggered when they're embedded in wild yarns. This one's a sweet read from the get-go. If you are a spiritually-oriented person who likes a good story, you'll love the way Rev. Bonny Ashe has woven themes of life purpose, spirit guides, non-linear time, connectedness, and spiritual energetics, into this delightful page-turner! Highly recommended.
