The Life & Times of Tim Season 2 - Available Formats

Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com

Imagine Larry David, or the cast of Arrested Development, as a cartoon. Welcome to The Life & Times of Tim, the subversive animated HBO series that chronicles the so-called life of one of the funniest sad sacks on the small screen. The second season of Tim picks up where the first left off--following the travails of the newly single Tim (voiced by show creator Steve Dildarian). Tim may be on the surface a typical twentysomething New Yorker, but it almost defies logic how many things go south on him in any given day. In the second season, there are cringe-worthy laughs following Tim's post-Amy breakup quest to find a place to crash for a while. First, he tries to crash with his friend and coworker Stu (the hilarious Nick Kroll)--only to learn Stu suffers from night terrors that could wake the dead. Enter the controversial character of the Priest (Rick Gomez), who's been temporarily defrocked for "taking liberties" with his Masses and his congregants. (Though he does currently live in a "bitchin' loft.") Things are still not exactly going Tim's way at his job, either. This season finds him occasionally still employed at Omnicorp, though often not. In one memorable story (there are two stories per episode), Tim loses his job to a smooth-talking homeless guy. The Boss (Peter Giles) is a great foil and straight man for Tim's misery. And Debbie the Prostitute (Bob Morrow) gives Tim a shoulder to cry on, but only when she's not yelling out the window to attract midnight customers. Fans of Family Guy, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and The Larry Sanders Show will find a lot to wince, and laugh, about with The Life & Times of Tim. --A.T. Hurley

Product Description

Everybody makes mistakes, but for Tim - a self-conscious young guy living in New York - just getting out of bed in the morning could be the worst decision he makes all day. No matter the situation, life's little challenges always manage to demand the most offensive solutions, which wouldn't be such a problem if he weren't continually caught red-handed. From the mind of Steve Dildarian - the Clio-winning ad man behind Budweiser's famous 'Lizards' campaign - The Life and Times of Tim follows this everyday working guy from one scandalous crisis to the next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best show August 9, 2010
Format:DVD
The second season is just as good if not better than the first. Although i don't own the disk i have seen every episode multiple times.
i am really hoping for some behind the scenes footage but even if it doesnt have any i would still reccomend buying it to absolutely anyone.

5.0 out of 5 stars How can an innocent guy get into so much trouble? December 13, 2011
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have the first season and am looking forward to watching the second which I just received. The animation is equal to South Park but it is the situations
Tim gets into that make this an outstanding low-key comedy feature. Not as graphic as South Park in language a little more low-key centered on the characters each episode rather than satire. This is so different it is hard to compare it to another animated feature.
Should have a cult following if it continues to air on TV.

I thought the first season had a handful of really good episodes, but I found myself skipping a lot of them. This season is consistently funny and entertain. If you like this show this is a must buy
